Somehow I keep coming back to the last song we wrote together and reminiscing about the old days. 

I honestly hate that I miss you, but I can’t help it. It’s so damn hard to accept that you’re not a part of my life anymore. There are still some days I want to pick up my phone and call you just so I can hear your stupid voice again. Why do you keep doing this to me? My memory of you is constantly betraying the reality of what happened.

Things I am thankful for:

People who haven't left me despite my many attempts at pulling and pushing away. People who have continued to love me and willingly receive my love in return, without complaint, without conflict, and without condition. People who have stayed by my side, who have gone out of their way to reach out for me, and who have waited patiently for my return even without a definite answer as to when I would be back.

I am not an easy person to love. I am unusually hard to hold on to. I do frustrating things, things so irritating that even I don't know what to do with myself. I am self-destructive, and am the owner of the very hands that work so diligently to pull my being apart, but damn if I'm not working on that to the very best of my ability.

I appreciate you and love you more than you will ever know.
