The funny thing is that like yeah they were hella rude but I was also like extremely amused too because literally all they did was read the first paragraph of a 3 chapter WIP and decide to bitch about it. And the paragraph was just Seb thinking about when he first met Chris and how nervous he’d been. Like the rest of the fic takes place in present time and Seb’s the little shit that he is.
When I wrote it I barely knew anything about either of them (although I’d seen a lot of Chris’ movies before that) or their dynamic. I wasnt even 2 months into fandom. Lord knows why I started with Evanstan and not Stucky but this fic was so old it was going to have D/s undertones in it.
With Seb. As Dom. Me. Writing Seb. As a Dom. I still laugh thinking about it.
I was just sitting there reading their message like wow what a jerk (and of course the person was a guest so they wont get my reply) but also being like “oh you dont like my fic?? well guess what neither do i. that’s why it’s on hiatus asshole.”
I am thankful in a way for it though because it gives me a deeper appreciation for the authors out there who’ve gotten a lot of hate and who dont let it deter them from continuing to write despite the rude ass people they’ve had to deal with.
