Hey trans folks (especially you younger ones)! So Mother’s Day is here.
I know there are some of you who, like me, have lost their mothers because they have passed away. That’s a special kind of grief, especially if she passed before getting to meet the authentic you.
I know, too, that there are an awful lot of you who have lost your mothers because they have rejected you for being trans. Maybe it’s religious, maybe it’s ignorance, maybe it’s closed-mindedness, maybe it’s something else entirely or some combination of the above. That’s an altogether differently terrible kind of pain and I’m sorry you’re going through that.
So, my trans babies, I’m stepping up here, if you want me, I’ll be your mom today.
Mama Brin loves you, and sees you for the beautiful person you are. Mama Brin understands that your gender is not what was assumed for you and assigned to you at birth and I’m so very glad to know you in your proper and authentic gender.

it feels like their incompetence at war is directly linked to a desire to do war. It's trite to say but I think "They are so bad at war they want to wage it" works for the modern era. The more the bomber mentality took over in ww2 and afterwards, the worse America got at war and the more they wanted to do it. Being good at war would involve knowing how disastrous/expensive/long it would be to try it.

If there's one thing I wish someone had explained to me when I was young and making financial decisions, it's amortization.

I don’t know how to tell you this lil stalkingfreak, but 78% of this webbed site is white. Most of the people reblogging this are probably crackers. Singling out one white for reblogging this or any other nonwhite post is weird af because frankly the main way nonwhite posts on here get spread is by whites helping spread them.
Because of the BIPOC Attention Tax, posts from racialized people are often dead in the water on most sites, especially tumblr, unless we are actively paid attention to and shared by white users as well. The ideal balance is usually either reblog with no comment (benefit of the white’s platform without forcing view upon the white), or reblog with limited comment (usually a consented-to translation of why whites should care into Cracker Vernacular English or simply an appeal to followers to share/care without adding unneeded white commentary).
@missstrogen is actually imo consistently really good at boosting nonwhite posts to her considerable (although not ISFF-era considerable) platform without being a fucking annoying cracker about it. Hell, half the time predominantly other whites jump on her for racism it’s for either a mistranslation bc she’s not a native anglophone, or for her saying something normal they willfully misinterpret to be racist.
All this to say, yes whites can and should reblog posts clowning on whites, posts that are antiwhite, antiUS, or anti-empire, and more. Whites SHOULD help expose more people to nonwhite jokes, content, thought/theory, etc. while knowing when to SHUT THE HELL UP too.

I think we should add extra rights for trans people. We should have equal human rights, plus some other animal, like lizards or horses. Trans rights are human rights plus also endangered California condor rights. We get the extra bird rights. Our breeding grounds are protected sites.
