i never have the chance to play Frontier due to some technical problem, but i watched some videos and read some lore

also since Frontier already closed i’ve draw some other Frontier’s monsters that i like as well (been drawing them since before the game closed but just finished all the planned one recently)

from left to right, top to bottom :

Laviente : already been requested and posted before, but since he’s a Frontier monster, here he is again :D

Hyujikiki : his roar is too cute, i love it

Espinas : actually i really like the zenith design, but i kinda want to stick with the base looks XD 

Kamu/Nono Ougarons : they formed a good pair

Midogaron : he’s sad but he’s also cool

Rukodiora : super cool theme, i actually like Spyro Rebidiora’s theme more but Ruko’s is still really nice.

Disufiroa : handsome-looking monster, how can i not XD

Pariapuria : his eating mechanic is something i want to see get tweaked into the main line games

Inagami : i really love everything about him, good design, good theme, etc. but GOG why is this monster so gogdamn hard to draw

Duremudira : i was skeptical about his design when i first saw him, but watching his fight is like wowwie, i like this monster.

Guanzorumu : good theme and has interesting take on small monsters as his minions

Harudomerugu : also kinda skeptical at first, but his ability just looks too cool

Frontier has some really cool monster designs and mechanics that i’d love to see in the main line game (perhaps tweaked a bit to be more fitted)

Heres a original monstie for the Memories of Kumara AU.

Basically i made some arcs revolving around monster hunter frontier, except with lots of originality.

RavageHowl Midogaron is same concept as Razewing Rathalos but in a Midogaron and instead of protecting the ecosystem from Oltura he protects it from Shantien & Disufiroa.

He’s a monstie that belongs to 2 riders at once: Kumara and Lycurgus, and thats because Nono & Kamu, who belongs to 2 different riders, are Mido (thats his nickname)’s parents, so basically both kinship stones work on him, so they can also perform a kinship attack with both kinship stones and it’ll be even more powerful than with one kinship stone.

All Stories Frontiers arcs in short and rush below:

Basically it starts with Kumara getting sent to help the people of the Frontier region (should start naming regions, not only planets), he goes to track down a Zerureusu, but then he sees a Nono Orugaron for the first time, a coward one, and immediately gets attacked by a Zenith Tigrex, eventually a rider with a Espinas, a Kamu Orugaron and a fire halk saves them, the rider is a guy named Lycurgus and he’s very bitter about the guild and the city, and it also turns out that the Nono Orugaron belongs to him but Nono doesn’t want to be with him so he gives up and lets Kumara keep her, Kumara then fights the Zerureusu but doesn’t succeeds understanding why its like that, he goes back to the city, there he sees the monster Halk for the first time and wants to buy one because Nono befriends an Ice halk but he didn’t bring enough money with him and then Lycurgus appears and pays for him, Kumara then asks him questions about his bitterness and Lycurgus reveals a whole tragic backstory about him being exiled over his Espinas, his city being corrupted, riders leaving the city and everyone goes their way and the rider culture slowly disappears from the region, about him living with a friend named Likoros that was a kid and Likoros got manipulated into attempting to kill an Inagami but died in the fight for nothing and Likoros monstie is revealed to be the Zerureusu, Zeru, and he says that the Inagami is simply aggressive because the hunters provoked him so much, Kumara and Lycurgus then goes together to find Zeru to calm him down and also so Lycurgus can reunite with his best friend’s monstie, during the battle Kumara and Lycurgus realize that Nono’s fearfulness and cowardness is due to mental distress because when Likoros died Lycurgus became more edgy, emotional and angry and mentally unstable which negatively affected Nono, Lycurgus tries to fix it but doesn’t succeeds, but they manage to eventually calm Zeru down with Lycurgus’s kinship stone (since Lycurgus and Likoros were so close that their monsties felt like the other was a second rider to them so the kinship stones worked on the other’s monsties), but then the Inagami appears, the group are all too weak from the fight with Zeru to win against the Inagami that they just flee, Kumara then goes back to the village and also gets Lycurgus to finally talk with the chief, and its revealed that the current city’s chief is NOT the same corrupted asshole chief Lycurgus had a beef with and that the asshole corrupted chief died 10 years ago, Lycurgus then understands that lots have changed since then and that everyone’s nicer now, he then explains the chief about Inagami’s side of the story (and that Zeru is his bestie’s monstie) and the chief understands that and allows them to not slay the Inagami, they go to fight the Inagami, Rephael, Soulver, Zeru and Espi (the Espinas) all faint very quickly, and during the fight Lycurgus finally succeeds to make amends with Nono, and with the power of kinship, Kumara and Lycurgus defeated the Inagami and also made Inagami realize not all people are bad (and Kumara fed him Mushroom pizza, food from Earth that doesn’t exists in Reynalos and because of that Kumara’s food considered the highest quality in Reynalos), and the Inagami then becomes Lycurgus’s monstie, everyone in the village then apologises to Lycurgus for the treatment he got from the people back then even though these were completely different people and the current people had no blame in it, Lycurgus smiled for the first time in years and thanked them, he also saw that Nono is clearly happier with Kumara and told him to keep her, the end.

And then theres the second arc: Frenzied elders and the wings of serenity:

Lycurgus and Kumara realizes that Espi is not a regular Espinas but a special Espinas called “Serene Espinas” and that this is why the old people hated him for his Espinas, but they don’t know WHAT makes her special, but they don’t have the time to research that yet because all the frontier region-native elder dragons (except for Inagami, Disufiroa and Shantien) starts fighting each other and killing everything in their path even outside their territory, they attempt figuring out why, i haven’t written the full script yet but basically they realise that it all has something to do with Shagaru Magala and the frenzy virus, they also realise that the Serene Espinas’s role is to kill Shagaru Magala once the frenzy virus becomes a threat to ecosystem and that she’s immune to frenzy virus.

Part 3: The Ravaging Howl

THATS where Mido appears! Basically its 2 years after the 2 first parts, Nono and Kamu had a Midogaron pup, but Mido is unregular Midogaron, he’s a RavageHowl Midogaron, Kumara & Lycurgus gets sent to investigate a Shantien, on the way they’re attacked by poachers that wants Mido in specific, they of course defeat them, when they reach the Shantien, Mido goes RavageHowl mode (kinda like Ratha’s fury mode) and tries to kill the Shantien, suddenly a group of mysterious evil people appear, their leader is a guy named Dryfus, he wants to capture Mido, currently unknown why, he also reveals that the poachers were working for him, then it becomes an “everyone against everyone” fight, Dryfus’s group fights everyone, Kumara and Lycurgus fights everyone, Shantien fights everyone, Mido fights everyone, eventually Dryfus & his group chain Mido like Zellard’s cult did to Ratha & Shantien fires an attack at Kumara, causing him to fall off a cliff, Mido, while not returning to his regular state, snaps out of his mindless fury and breaks out of the chains and jumps off the cliff and then jumps back a very high jump back to the area with Kumara in a heroic scene, Dryfus and his group leaves in the meantime to somewhere else, the Shantien also flees, Mido and his 2 riders follows them, there they see Dryfus with a deadly monster, Disufiroa, Dryfus reveals he wanted to use and control Mido and Disufiroa to rule over the world, that way if he has both under control, not only he gains huge power, but theres also no monster that is the natural enemy of those 2 that will interrupt his plans, he also explains that RavageHowl Midogaron is kinda like Razewing Rathalos in a way, RavageHowl Midogaron is there to protect the ecosystem from Shantien & Disufiroa, they then all fight, Kumara & Lycurgus fought Dryfus and his followers, while Mido was focused on fighting Shantien & Disufiroa (it was a 1VS1VS1 battle), eventually Disufiroa just attacked Dryfus and his group, wiping them all out with ease and killing them all, Shantien was dead by this point, Disufiroa was ready to attack Kumara & Lycurgus, but Mido wouldn’t let his riders die so fast, he then defended them, Kumara & Lycurgus both got on Mido (2 people riding 1 monstie) and used both their kinship stones to perform a unusually strong kinship attack (because energy from 2 kinship stones is definitely gonna be stronger than energy from 1 kinship stone) and performed a kinship attack called Ravaging Howl of Doomsday, and with the power of kinship they won and slay Disufiroa, the end.

- MHF-G High Grade Edition: Midogaron The Explosion Wolf -

Midogaron is a lone wolf and a very strong too.

It is well known for its extreme bursts of speed that are beyond most monsters of the series. His speed is so great that he appears to use teleportation  across the land when enraged leaving only hairs and a burning hot orange dust from his starting point.

Midogaron has the unique behavior of attacking the hunter who posted the quest, sometimes relentlessly chasing after him/her even when other hunters attacking him. This may be a tactic to take out the leader to confuse other members of packs or herds of other creatures when hunting.
