THE FRANCHISE // DTAFM
When I was younger and keeping myself occupied by creating stupid punk rock bands with friends, one of my favorite things to do was to come up with the logo for the group. And one of my favorite tools was to lean on an already understood visual language. Whether it be typeface, iconography, etc. Find those elements, and re-purpose as needed.
All that to say that I was primed and oh-so-trained for this particular task!
The Franchise is a podcast that delves into, you guessed it, franchises! And my task was to mirror or evoke elements of said franchises for each season. Some were simple typefaces while others needed a bit more visual flair to enforce the overall idea. Along with that, we needed an overall piece of art for the collection at large. And that’s where I found a nice textured typeface, some colors that evoked a lot of the color art, and we called this one complete!
