Being Dani’s best friend and meeting Pelle.

After meeting Dani in class, the two of you became fast friends. You bonded over shared interests at first, and eventually grew close. Before you knew it, she was a part of your everyday life.

Each of you knew most of the other’s friends, and your social groups would come together here and there.You knew of Christian’s friends through Dani, and interacted with them periodically. It wasn’t until they brought the exchange student into their group that you spent much time around them, though.

“Y/N, this is Pelle. He’s from Sweden. Pelle, this is Y/N.” Dani hadn’t gotten to know him well before the two of you met, but she did have a few interactions under her belt before the two of you were introduced.

“It’s a pleasure,” Pelle greeted you with a pleasant smile and a handshake. Dani made sure to get the conversation going before she was pulled away by another friend.

Pelle stayed with you, asking you about yourself and telling you a bit about himself and his home. He seemed genuinely interested when you spoke; keeping his attention focused on you. It was a change from what you were used to. Even if you fell into silence for a moment, it wasn’t awkward. It was comfortable.

By the time it came to leave, you’d had more of a connection with Pelle that you ever had with Christian’s other friends despite knowing them longer.

When you texted Dani that you’d gotten home safely (a ritual - she always asked you to) she quickly replied, ‘you and Pelle seemed to hit it off well.’ You told her about your experience with him, and she made a note to herself to try to get you two together more. Whether that meant you’d have a new friend or something else, she was happy to see you connecting with someone so well.

Josh Relationship Headcanons

Josh isn’t big on physical affection. His love language gravitates more toward acts of service and words of affirmation. He’s very open to growing with your relationship, though, so if you’re someone that needs touch, he’ll make a conscious effort to work on it. 

Initially, he wouldn’t open up a lot. He’d seem open because he can talk to you easily, but all of that deep rooted stuff or things that would make him feel vulnerable are harder to get to. 

He’d be very polite with your friends and/or family. He’s the type that your parents/parent friends would love. (Unless they caught him snooping.) 

Josh would ask a lot about your interests and want to learn about the things that you like. He’d share his own in return and want each of you to actively participate in each other’s hobbies as much as possible. Unless either of you just couldn’t get into it, but he’d always be down to try. 

Any type of relationship issues or confrontation with him can be a little weird. He’ll sometimes be upfront if he’s upset about something, but sometimes he’ll keep it in. Working on communication would be key. 

He’d be the first person down to try anything new that you want to. He’s a naturally curious person, so whether it’s extravagant like traveling somewhere or something more low key like trying new cuisine, Josh will always accompany you.

He’s supportive in a more low-key way. He’ll show up to things that are important to you, and help you if you need it with any projects you may have (whether they’re school, work, or personal.) He wouldn’t make a huge deal out of it, but he’d always be there.

Mark asking you out after some flirtatious back and forth.

You met Mark when you sat next to him on the first day of classes. Initially, he didn’t make a strong impression on you. It wasn’t until he felt settled and comfortable around the new crowd that he became more talkative and social. After that, the two of you started getting to know one another.

But that’s when the trouble began.

Although you wanted to be friends at first, you found that you began to develop a crush on him. It didn’t help that the two of you had this flirtatious back and forth going. There was some light teasing, some lingering touches, and plenty of heavy looks toward one another. But it always seemed as if the timing wasn’t right.

You wanted to ask him out on more than one occasion, but every time you tried, something always came up. It was starting to become frustrating. Perhaps the universe was trying to keep you two apart. That didn’t stop your flirting, of course. If anything, it only got more pointed as time went on. Others even commented on it when you were around friends.

Mark approached you one day on your way to your final class.

“Hey, y/n, I, uh. I need to talk to you. Meet me when you’re done, alright?”

“Is everything okay?”

“Everything’s good. Just meet me at our regular spot. Please.”

“Sure, Mark. I’ll be there.”

“I can’t wait.” He winked at you and walked off. You couldn’t help but feel a bit nervous. ‘We need to talk’ wasn’t the most reassuring thing to say to a person.

When you were done with classes, you headed straight for the nearby cafe that the two of you frequented. When you arrived, Mark was waiting outside, already holding your regular drink.

“Let’s sit out here - if you don’t mind?”

“I don’t mind at all.”

After he handed you your drink, the two of you sat at one of the metal chair and table sets the cafe had outside. You looked at him expectantly and, thankfully, he didn’t waste any time.

“Listen, y/n, we’ve been friends for a long time. And that’s great. But I’ve gotta be honest with you - I want more. Being your buddy is great, but I’m... really attracted to you. Everything about you. So, what do you say?”

You were quiet for a moment. It was finally happening - no interruptions, no sudden emergencies. The two of you were able to discuss this at last.

“Or I can go and we can just pretend this never happened, if you want.”

“No! Sorry. Actually, I’ve been thinking the same thing. I like you a lot.”

“So... am I, like, your boyfriend then? Or do we need to go on some dates first?“

“Both. We definitely need to go out as a couple, but honestly I’m ready for us to be together.”
