Been posting on stories so much forgot to make real posts, had a lot fun putting this piece together well finish very soon. He last picture Is the original idea for this tattoo. Although I thought this idea was MUCH more than I felt comfortable squeezing into a space even one as large as this shoulder. Whenever I design a tattoo I like to think of what the core of the idea is, in this case I felt time and his children were the overall theme, and hats all we need to make a good piece. I often find myself in the situation where I need to convince my clients an idea of theirs is not the best fit for the spot, for the level of detail they want, or for my own strengths as a tattoo artist. Although the first design is well thought out and includes many aspects of their personality that we're not taken arbitrarily, sometimes it's best to use the KISS technique and KEEP IT SIMPLE.
