I think Rhoan has helped deliver children.

It makes sense as the clan's mages would be practised in what healing magic they can and then add to that that I think Rhoan leans towards Sylaise the Hearthkeeper. I can imagine there's quite a bit of magic you could use to make sure both mother and child survive birth and this would be a pretty big priority to the Dalish clans.

I can imagine the first few times he was very flustered and following the Keeper's instructions like an over eager/nervous puppy and then eventually being told to take the lead on one with the Keeper watching over closely.

I think this influences Rhoan in how he views women and children a lot, knowing what goes into bringing a new life into the world.
