Mies van den Rohe's MR Chaise, made by Knoll Studio. The frame is stamped Knoll Studio with Mies facsimile signature. The MR series of designs are some of Mies' earlier ones, and the chaise is thought to be inspired by 19th Century iron rocking chairs. The design affords comfortable support for legs, back and neck. In a pinkish tan leather, this is the original version, not the recent #bauhaus edition by #knollstudio which is a cut priced edition, identifiable by the somewhat flattened upholstery, and At around £10K new for this model, I’m not surprised they have released the Bauhaus edition, at around the £4K but you do get what you pay for.
