The Daughter of Lu Bu
The three stood awkwardly facing each other as Xiahou Dun continued on with his lecture. "You will continue on your training and work together as a team. I expect a lot from the three of you. You will soon receive another member..." He paused taking in a breath of air. The eyes of everyone in the room focusing entirely on the gruff veteran, all aside from Lu Lingqi who's gaze was straight to what was in front of her.
His head turned to face the girl who stood next to Ba. "Lang Suo...correct?" He inquired to the other. She flinched and tried to hide the panic that she had from just hearing the commander mention her name. "Y-yes sir!" She puffed out a breath of air and fixed her standing, her posture straight and feet moving together. "You will be transferred to squad 5. This will be in effect as of now, so you may leave now to pack up your bags." The young girl sighed, gladdened that it wasn't anything serious. "Now...With all said and done, I want you three to meet up at the training area by noon. Is that understood?" The three gave a firm reply. "Excellent. Carry on." Xiahou Dun gave a quick bow before leaving the room. The four inside returning the bow with one of their own as he disappeared off to the side.
Awkward silence filled the room as all four of the soldiers stood quiet, unsure on what to say, staring at each other. Although the silence did not last as it was broken by the girl Lang Suo who placed down the dishes that she held and untied the bow that held her hair up. "Well I best be packing." She said removing the apron from her back. "I wish you three luck! Especially you two." She said looking back at Ba and Hui who both gave each other a hard glare before they both scoffed at each other. Suo giggled and made her way to the door. She gave Lu Lingqi a smile and a bow before she departed. "I wish you luck with these two! They can be a handful!" There was an engrossed grumble coming from Hui and a sigh from Ba, LingQi slowly nodded, and with that Suo left to the barracks.
Once again an awkward silence filled the room and the three who remained began to give each other stares again. This one did not last too long as well, this time it was broken by Xiahou Ba who had approached LingQi with a smile. "Well, it's very nice to meet you LingQi. I am Xiahou Ba, son of Xiahou Yuan. It's-" He was then cut off as suddenly Hui stepped in and practically shoved him aside. "A pleasure to meet you. You say that each time and it's annoying to hear you in general." He mocked his hands being placed on his waist, his pose was as if he was standing above some sort of victory he had just achieved with ease. His hand moved up and his fingers poised towards himself. A grin curving on his visage. "I am as you should know. The one and only Zhong Hui, It must be a pleasure to meet me~" He said with a quick glance towards Ba. Taking his own words and twisting it up to make it his own. It made him sick. He gave a heavy sigh and held back his fist that was quenched up next to him.
But before Ba and Hui can begin their bickering once again. The fist of LingQi was placed on her open palm as she bowed once again. Her expression remained the same as it was when she walked in the door. And to them it seemed rather bored. "It is an honor to meet the two of you. I have heard about the two of you while in training." She said rising from her bow.
Hearing this brought some pride to the two, and both grinned at each other full of it. And both became easily competitive wondering if anyone thought the other was better. "You both bring honor to your families. I hope I can do the same for my father." She said to the two of them. "That shouldn't be too hard, you look like a very good warrior." Ba said with a smile. LingQi looked back to Ba with the same apathy she seemed to never be rid of. "It is hard to make my father proud, he is a great warrior who is very hard to impress." "Just who is your father then?" Inquired by Hui who crossed his arms and leaned in with a small hint of anxiousness. As she turned to face Hui, the two would suddenly be leaning in to hear who her father was. "My father is Lu Bu. A very proud warrior."
The two's expression fell as silence grew once again. The silence drew up the curiosity of the young woman who stood helplessly oblivious in front of them. Her brows rising in question. "Is something the matter."
And in that moment, The two were given a grim message.
"....We're fucked."
