So do you think Locke being added to NT is pretty cool?

(I’d say so, it potentially opens up the possibility of even more characters being added from the older games in later updates, in addition to Locke himself being a good addition to the roster.)

I’m planning to do some of the classics (Destiny and Rebirth come to mind), I’ve just been busy with school lately. And my Premiere stopped working so I have to get that fixed before I can do any more video editing :I

It did serve a purpose as the counterpart to Zestiria’s story - a tale about the origins of the Lord of Calamity and as the darker second half to the much brighter first half that Zestiria gives us.  Together, the two games do follow the standard format of a Tales game - Zestiria has more of the standard fantasy JRPG feel in terms of story, while Berseria is the darker deconstructed second half that we all know and love from Tales.

What gets me, though, is how little Bamco has been doing with Berseria.  They have two games here whose stories are linked, whose stories compliment each other, and yet they’re only promoting the one half almost to the point of ignoring the other.  The last character popularity poll showed that Berseria’s characters are pretty popular - even though Mikleo took the top spot, every playable character in Berseria except for Eleanor made it into the top 30 in the individual character polls for TalesFes 2017.

And maybe it’s just me, but I get a massive sense of disconnect between Bamco and the fanbase.  Like they keep on wanting to fix “that one blunder” but I feel like fans would rather have them stop fixating on that one error and instead focus on creating a new game or porting an old one to a newer console so more people can play it or just new content outside of the mobile games.  I just feel like they’re cashing in too much and not really making any sort of effort to do something new with the series.  Tales of Orchestra is a great idea . . . but let’s get some of the other games involved.  We didn’t need a concert that’s basically orchestral arranges of the Trainwreck OP/EDs and a few of the other tracks that had already been done in previous year’s concerts.  A selection here and there, fine.  But they left out the actually good ones from the OST (like, say, the epic bgm from the Rayfalke Spiritcrest episode, or Ageless Moon) and I’d daresay there’s more than a few other tracks from other games in the series that could have used a spotlight this year.

Oh, and did I mention this year’s Destiny’s 20th anniversary and giving Destiny a spotlight as part of Tales of Orchestra might have also been cool and done some good in terms of Bamco saying “Oh yeah, we didn’t forget about all you long-time fans who’ve been with us all this time”?
