i have a few but i will pick one for now!

this might make me have to go into hiding while i like Astarion and his character arc, I think he has enough content and the favoritism he's been shown by the developers is kind of off-putting to me. i don't know... it doesn't necessarily hurt the story as a whole, but i do believe it does a disservice to the other origins by default since there's such a disparity

❄️ ⇢ what's your dream theme/plot for a fic, and who would write it best?

i would love to see an Orin character study that explores her state of mind after killing her mother. it would be really interesting to pull some inspiration from the Oresteia, because i feel like there are some really delicious connections to the House of Atreus (particularly Elektra) worth exploring

(also i love @mashamorevvna's Orin so so much and i think she would do a wonderful job with this)

i am so bad at following my own advice, and i usually just let the demons possess me periodically when i want to write something. when i'm really stuck, i try to read whatever book i've been working my way through and/or go outside/open a window. i start over completely with a LOT of fics, and have like 3 drafts of a given story at a time. but i keep all the old ones and often use bits and pieces of them in the future

how did you get into writing fanfiction?

I started 20 years ago. Yep, I've been writing fanfic for longer than some of my readers have been alive! I was really into the HP fandom (remember 20 years ago!) and I was really captivated by the idea of the Order of the Phoenix. And I absolutely fell in love with Tonks. And I thought to myself, I would like to read fanfic of Snape/Tonks. I go search good ol' fanfic.net and discover that there were some one-shots, but not the novel-length, slow burn fic I was craving

So I wrote it myself! It was awful, but I learned a lot and never looked back

Discovering Chair Fit Camp. Here's the link! These videos are wonderful. I desperately need to move more in my daily life and because of various reasons, lots of walking or high impact exercise isn't great for me right now. But these videos are fantastic. It gets you moving while you're sitting down and some of them are short. My favorite is a 10 minute video I can do during my break at work

My original novel! I'm writing an original fantasy romance novel. I'm really hoping to have a first draft done by the end of the year (yes, I'm factoring in Veilguard playing time in that lol) and I'm really excited about it. I'll probably start talking about it a bit on tumblr soon. (Hint. It involves dwarves)

My mom's hip replacement is in just over three weeks. We have a game plan and we're going to be ready and organized this time around. (Unlike her last knee replacement 3.5 years ago, which was not a good time in our lives.) I'm so glad she's getting it done so she can start feeling better!

I'm going there. Cullen absolutely didn't have the experience to be a military advisor. Teaching fighting techniques? Sure. But leading military campaigns? I headcanon that Blackwall realizes very quickly that Cullen is in over his head and discreetly offers his own army experience without letting anyone know he used to be an army captain

(ALSO. I wish the writers dug into the lyrium addiction so much more than they did. It would have added so much depth to his character!)

Last fall when this all started I hadn't been able to do art consistently in years, I hadn't been involved with a Fandom in even more years, and I hadn't shared anything I'd written online in like a decade. the bg3 fan space was so much and everyone creating and chatting and being kind and supportive was huge for me and brought me back into a creative space I have no idea how I otherwise would have accessed and I'm grateful to have been involved and to be here and to have made such good friends 💖💖💖💖

But his hips are still rocking against them, clothed cock pressed to the sole of their boot, and when they shift their leg to a more comfortable position he wraps a hand around the back of their calf to hold them closer.

At least he is not talking. But he is hardly making any noise at all, beyond his laboured breathing -- it is only when they grind their heel too hard against the bulge in his trousers that he gasps, voice breaking around something that could almost be their name. The tears in his eyes still do not fall, but he is not half as stubborn as they are.

"You do not deserve this," they tell him, pulling their leg from his grasp. He is a state, knelt on the cold stone floor before them, thighs spread obscenely, face flushed, swollen lips still spit slick and parted enticingly, like their cock down his throat and their foot between his legs has stolen every ounce of the decorum he usually clings to. What is your guilty pleasure fic type or pairing for bg3?

I don't do guilty pleasure! If I'm not hurting someone, why feel guilt? Genuinely, I think the closest I get is durgetash because of the Fucked Up Nasty of it all, but since it's still fiction...

I also read only very specific bg3 fic because I am incredibly picky to the point where I'm reading by author and not by type. There's a lot of fic I wish I could find to read, but it keeps not working out for various reasons.

1. Your hottest Durgetash take. The kinda heat Gortash had to endure in HoH. (But be respectful about it fellas, this means everyone)

I think trying to declare that there is only one acceptable flavour of durgetash, be it romantic/platonic/sexual, is inherently limiting and uninteresting. it's a ship of which one half is made up of an original character! there are endless ways in which a durge's relationship with Gortash could play out, endless ways in which they can influence him and vice versa, and whatever your personal tastes saying with your entire chest that there is only one type of ship allowed is boring and distasteful at best and outright concerning at worst. there is no universal, one size fits all here. there is so little to go off of in canon -- the entire point is to develop their relationship yourself!

4. Which one of them is the morally worse person? Your Durge or Gortash? Who’s really just a sadistic little fuck and did they make the other one ‘hol up’ before?

6. What’s the most wholesome hc you have for them? Something they did, a particular approach at bonding, just them being disgustingly soft once? Some good old hand in hand vivisection?

that they changed for each other. maybe not willingly, maybe not consciously, but in the fifteen years between their first meeting and the nautiloid something shifted enough in each of them to let them run mostly parallel rather than working against each other. now, is this actually wholesome? is this good for, like, either of them? arguably, no. I don't honestly think there is any universe in which either of them are good for the other, certainly not long term. any peace that could exist between them is a misunderstanding at best and a farce at worst. but at the end of the day they still chose each other, and I'm always more interested in stories of allies than in stories of romance. (they are aro4aro to me, anyway, bc aro people deserve bad rep too <3)

in your answer about them you described them as being in a war, not a romance, which is incredibly accurate and made me think of this poem that has lived rent free in my head since Cal posted it:

it's about the power struggle for me. Gortash is the kind of person whose hunger is insatiable -- he'll never be satisfied with what he has, he will always want more than it is possible for him to have, and when faced with a titan? there's no way that man looks at durge and thinks anything other than I want that for myself. the thing that initially drew me to durgetash was the idea that despite everything they are equals, and I will admit that I still like it best when there is no clear winner!
