But is that a lot? I don't know how much a comic has to sell in order to be considered well selling. :/

With those numbers, it means that on average every volume sold ~160 000 copies. It may be far from the very best-selling series that tops the yearly charts but in the context of manga aimed at women, it’s good! Not a huge hit but selling over 100 000 is nice.

If you search for yearly volumes sales in recent years, for the best-selling shoujo volumes it’s usually around 500 000 copies (for series like Sakura Card Captor Clear Arc, Chihayafuru, Wotakoi, Natsume, Orange, My Love Story) and then there’s Kimi ni Todoke which has around +700 000 and Blue Spring Ride at ~1 million.

One thing in common these series have that 7 Seeds hadn’t is at least one anime adaptation, which can be a big help in boosting sales and making a manga more well-known... though obviously it may depends on how well the adaptation is received and the 7 Seeds anime won’t be diffused on TV since it’s a Netflix project so it’s kind of a different case. We’ll have to see!

I'm just sitting here wondering when I'll be able to see it from Netflix in my country... don't different countries show different stuff at different times?

It’s said to be released globally so it should be available at the same time for everyone.

The others are accurate but Chimaki looks like… I don’t know, but he definitely doesn’t look like Chimaki.

I guess they based Chimaki on his first appearence.

I don’t mind too much the change of hair color but the choice of all black clothes doesn’t read very Chimaki at all when you see the what kind of clothes he wears (hawaian shirts). His hair also isn’t curly enough.

For the other characters, Semimaru is the most well done to me, great attitude showing his character. Matsuri is nice but they made her boobs way bigger than in most manga panels and they also gave Botan’s shirt a bigger cleavage than in the manga, those kind of changes makes me a little wary :/

Mozu doesn’t look very... imposing? But that’s something that will be best shown in situation so we’ll have to wait to see.

Yeah, for those following the rain of paradise scans, there still should be 5 volumes left so there’s still a lot of content to get =)

everyone is gonna finally get together and i feel like this series could go on and on!! hoping for an epilogue too

Right? There’s potential for so many stories! I'm sad we probably won’t get anything big like the Basara epilogue but I’m looking forward to see what we’ll get.
