Today, I wanted a day off to work on a phot project in Burlington, i asked my boss two days ago and she was stoked. No questions asked, just told me to take the day(s) that i needed. Just down the road, and all across the state/country, there are farm workers who live in a very different world. When most #dairy farm workers in #VT want a day off, they've got to get out and march. When these men and woman want to get paid minimum wage for the strenuous work they do so there is ice cream on the shelf they've got to fight for it, and are still for the most part ignored. Next time a conversation comes up about immigration, ask yourself if you know where your last meal came from. Who picked that fruit from the northwest , or those vegetables from Florida, where did that cheese come from? Chances are better than not a migrant worker had a hand in it and was not fairly compensated. A dairy worker during the #MigrantJustice march from Montpelier to Waterbury in June.
