Meet my new etching press! @yonathafftka gave this to me in advance of our 43rd wedding anniversary which is on November 21st. I am happy to announce I am going to start making etching mono-prints again. #copperplate #etching is one of my favorite mediums. This press has an extraordinary history it was owned by #Nakhamkingallery and works of #MihailChemiakin #ErnstNeizvestny and @artem_mirolevich and many other major artists made prints on it Michael Hafftka is an American figurative expressionist painter living in NYC. His work is in the permanent collections of the Metropolitan Museum, the Museum of Modern Art, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the National Gallery, Carnegie Museum, Brooklyn Museum and others.
