Looking up from his book Chase stares absently for a moment, before his eyes move toward the window, staring out it into the snow falling. He noticed that it wasn't the same. Not like when he had been a kid. Before....everything bad started to happen. Now with all these burn scars, the changes in the weather, created by him or not, there was a sensation, sometimes a pain that came to his magically 'gifted' wounds. Swallowing, he closed his book and turned to look at Miharu. Placing the book to the side onto a table he gave an angsty little sigh to what she said "Well you can't, you'll get bed sores after a while, you know." Especially where they were, the cold could last for a while. Dropping his gaze to his hands as he brought them together, bending at the waist and resting his arms on his legs, he could feel it, that weird sensation.

He plucks it from her hand and looks the item over, raising an eyebrow at it "Riiiiight." Honestly, he was still getting used to all this stuff. Supernatural beings. Mythological beings. Ever since he first got his powers at thirteen, up till his biological father came to stalk him and tell him about all the witch shit, he thought he was basically, god. Or maybe the anti-christ. How else was he going to explain his gifts when he was an adolescent, after all? No one else had these things. He had never met another like him, or like her, or anything else. That was just how he had to cope. Smirking a little then he walks toward the door and hangs the thing onto it "Why are we annoying the vampires, anyway? --Also. I never met one before..."

Chase made a face at the movie. She called it horror? He found it more amusing "Ah...so why exactly are you afraid of The Frighteners?" He's asking with an arched eyebrow. Of course, he could see it being a perfectly good Halloween movie, it had some pretty Halloween like scenes "I'm not even that desensitized..."

Chase ducked his head down a moment, squinting as he thought about how to answer that question. What could be happening again? Who knew, he wasn't really in the know about all of this Covenant stuff, only what his father had revealed before he had to kill the other. Closing his eyes, he exhaled, calming himself down, at the very least to stop the storm that had formed above him. Everything was fine, there was nothing wrong with him, or any of this. It was not 'happening again'. But he could feel it, the energy building up, just to split off. A field of raw energy forming in the center. But it wasn't the same, it was always different from one to the other. When he was thirteen it ruined his family.

When he was eighteen it lead to the accident that ended with his parents both dead. Angling his head a bit, he felt his hunger increase, the need for more power spread like he was an addicted, needing a fix "Mmm." The Power, white, spiraled around his arms, down to his fingers "I need...more." It hurt to be without more. None of them really got it. Being born with more power, with more hunger, and the only people to abate it, leaving him to suffer. Chase turned, searching for a moment "Something with power. I need it." Without more of it, he felt like- no, he knew he would die.

Glancing up and then rolling his eyes as she says this he leaned up and started getting out of the bed " I know how we keep ending up in each others bed. It's the sex..." Turning back toward her, he leaned down and then started moving in closer toward her " What else would I have to be in your bed, unless you have different motives." He smirked then before pulling away and giving a wink before he moved to go put his clothes on.
