Strange creatures
(Idea suggested by @/aspec-spirits-and-such, Thank you so much!)
A group of newly discovered entities in a newly discovered area. The entities remain proximal to each other while drifting through interiors. Despite their resemblance to fish, they do not seem to use their fin-like appendages to move. They do not interact with water 2 nor the pseudoflora and pseudocoral residing in it.
Designed by nightmarearia.
Considering that maax, miish, night skies, and sailors all have the same colour variation, could it be possible that they're all related in some way?
Relation is currently impossible to test due to a lack of DNA structures. Maax are materially very different from the other mentioned entities, being make of a thin cloud-like material that dissipates when damaged.
The closest in structure would be Miish and Night Skies, by virtue of a 'foamy' texture and fluorescence. This is further supported by both being found within Mariana. However, there is no known interaction or transition between these two entity types like there are between, for example, a Prince and a Queen.
Sailors, while difficult to study due to their elusiveness, have a texture similar to latex or plastic. Though their colors are often light they have a slightly wider hue range than the other mentioned entities.
pls gimme all info on sailors you have atcm if thats not too much trouble
Sailors are semi-aquatic, social entities that inhabit various areas containing large amounts of water 2, such as Mariana, the Port, and the Poolscape.
Sailors can come in a variety of colors, such as pink, blue, purple, yellow, and orange. Most of these colors tend to be light in value.
Though not seen in the single photo currently posted of Sailors, they possess shark-like fins on the end of their tails.
Their form can act both as bipedal and quadrupedal. They often walk or run quadrupedally, but can do the same on two legs if they require their front legs to be occupied. Their front legs have opposable thumbs and can manipulate tools and objects with them.
Sailors typically travel alone or in small groups, and have the tendency to migrate between regions in patterns not yet catalogued. They have the tendency to avoid other groups of Sailors when possible. This behavior carries over to interaction with humans; Sailors often act 'fearful' of humans and will not approach willingly.
Sailors seem to have a complex way of interacting with other entities. They will often manipulate and handle smaller or less mobile entities such as Spumes and Miish.
Within their groups, they utilize 'piggyback rides, in which one Sailor will climb atop the other, seemingly in order to prevent separation. This does not seem to be informed by any hierarchy or other indicator of status.
all your guys are so silly :] when are their birthdays because it should be everyday
Since we do not know how extraplanar entity life cycles work there is no telling when they were created or if they have a 'birth' date. However, I can release information on when each entity type was discovered.
Striders- February 23
Longlegs- August 14
Night Skies- May 1
Ghosts- September 2
Golbo- September 20
Fogwalkers- January 13
Spumes- April 28
Kytes- March 2
Maax- February 21
Sockwyrms- July 6
Light mimics- December 21
Princes- September 15
Queens- May 5
Miish- May 27
Sailors- November 19
Are Miish tangible or does your hand just pass through them?
Miish are very solid. They have the texture of a dense Styrofoam that refuses to dent when pressed into.
Is there any carbon or traceable elements in the Far Planes? Do the creechurs like the Longlegs have any DNA? Are they too made of concrete?
Remarkably, there are very few traces of carbon in most extraplanar materials. This includes carbon within organic materials such as wood along with carbon dioxide found latent in cement. The ramifications of this are currently unknown, but it points to the Far Plane and its structures not being constructed traditionally like humans would.
Some extraplanar entities have structures in their bodies similar to cells, and by extension, DNA-like materials inside of them. This includes Golbo, Longlegs, and Miish.
do entities like the Golbo or Sockwyrms come in other colors? Or, alternatively, another question I have is if entities can suffer mutations while traveling from their home?
The following entities are known to have color variations:
Maax Maax come in three different colors: Pink, green, or yellow.
Miish Miish seem to come in yellow, pink, blue or magenta.
Sockwyrms Sockwyrms can be blue, pink or green.
Striders Striders' spots can be seemingly any color, so long as it is bright and saturated. The most common recorded colors are blue, pink, green and purple.
Kytes Kytes have the most individual variation of any entity type. Their known colors include red, yellow, blue and green. Their bodies can be one solid color or be divided between colors in each of their kite-like quadrants. Additionally, their tail fins can be any individual color in any order, or one solid color.
Night Skies Night skies are yellow, blue, pink or green.
There are no known adverse effects to entities being brought out of the Far Plane, so long as their needs are met.
