I totally get it! Mika needs a freaking break! Like he’s been the one shouldering all this pain ALL BY HIMSELF and he needs some love and care immediately! He needs friends and to bond with people and that’s why the scene with Shinoa and the squad protecting him gives me so much life!! Let’s hope he gets all the care he needs and that he can take a break from all this painful suffering because my precious baby needs it!

I'm so sorry but I gotta rant and right now it feels like your the only human who might get me but... JFC Mika is not a motherfucking yandere that just completely destroys his development his character. Yuu's all he's got this isn't romantic. He failed his family Yuu is like his redemption and so he fucking carried him that makes him seme just like that if I could carry my bf I would doesn't mean I stick my nonexistent dick in him Yuu DOES not like authority stop butchering their characters :/

Lord I'm embarassed. So sorry it's just I came across a yandere Mika post and it infuriated me because it seems like a large part of the fandom has accepted this and if you like bottom Yuu that's fine but distorting their characters everything just to fit this idea upsets me. Mika's much more than an obsessed psycho, he's traumatised,has to be taken care of,all his life he's had this duty. He needs control taken for him with care and Yuu entirely gung ho about being recklessly in charge *sigh*

SIGH honestly, I just ignore the large part of this fandom because they have such a terrible habit of joking about Mika being a yandere. I’m always talking to one of my friends about this because we both love ranting at each other over our mutual hate of this terrible characterization. Like if you want to write fics/draw art about yandere Mika that’s fine, hell sometimes I get ideas about writing an actual yandere!mika drabble but it would be tagged as OOC because that’s not who Mika is in canon. That poor boy has gone FOUR years without interacting with anyone he truly cares for after he saw his family being slaughtered for something he feels responsible. Yuu is the only one who survived and he feels obligated to protect him; why? Not because he is obsessed with Yuu or only wants him for himself, but because he has to protect the last surviving member of his family. It is so fucking sad that this is all that drives Mika because he was isolated from the rest of the world. 

I feel ya anon, believe me when I tell you this this one of the topics that makes me hella salty, but I just roll my eyes and continue on my merry way when I see post like those, ugh and i don’t even acknowledge the whole who tops/bottoms argument anymore, i do my thing, enjoy my bottom!mika and maybe thats the reason why i never get any hateful anons lol i’m too old for all that mess :’) don’t worry you can always rant to me! hope you feel better <3

HELLO may i ask about your headcanons on mika and yuu crying? we've seen them doing that in the manga sometimes but i'm curious about a full-blown crying session/do they want to be alone or not/hide their tears or just let everyone see/noises ?? <33

Hi! Okay this is interesting, thanks anon! Full-blown crying sessions aren't as common between them because they've been through so much already but when it happens, Yuu (as we've seen) has no problem crying in public, if the emotion/situation is strong enough he won't be able to stop himself from crying, regardless of anyone else he will cry until the painful ache in his chest lessens. Mika on the other hand (as we've also seen) would rather be alone, he doesn't want to worry anyone and would rather not be questioned about his behavior so he puts on a stoic mask until he is able to let those emotions out in the privacy of his own company ;__;

good angst isn't bad. since mika is a vampire and is immortal, do you think that after yuu's death, he'd try to look for a new meaning in his life or would he rather kill himself?

ANGST you know a few days ago I was having this same conversation with a friend, honestly I'd like to hope he will find a new purpose in life. yuu's death will be undeniably hard for him to overcome, yes, but I don't want Yuu's existence to be all that Mika cares about, after all the last thing Yuu would want is for Mika to kill himself ;v; although if Yuu is the only one Mika drinks from in order to maintain a semblance of his humanity then it's probable he might either give into his urges of drinking from other humans or that he might kill himself in order to stop himself from killing someone else idk the possibilities are endless

No, I love talking to people about this stuff, and I’m really happy you decided to drop by, so don’t ever think your spamming me with asks! I LOVE IT as for your question, I’m finally on my computer so I made this a little longer hehe ^^’

Alright, so one of my main grievances is that Mika has no one else that he truly cares about post-transformation. I get that it’s for the sake of the story obviously, but I really do wish he had someone else that wasn’t Krul or Ferid (I’m not counting Lacus because although they do work together their interaction is so minimal none of it stands out to me rn) and I have nothing against krulxmika or feridxmika i’ve written them often enough that I can see their appeal (actually the appeal for ferid and mika came way before then but i won’t bore you with my thoughts on those two lol), I’ve also written mika with crowley, guren, and kureto, and while I enjoyed every second of it, I couldn’t help but wonder if their relationship would ever be even feasibly possible in canon, of course the answer is no, or at least not very likely.

Thinking of this, I recalled all of the possible love interests Yuu could have, there’s shinoa, mitsuba, yoichi, kimizuki, guren(as i’ve seen quite often) and of course Mika. The fandom has all of these choices for Yuu, choices that could be supported with canon interactions, but for Mika, his choices are sorely lacking (though that doesn’t stop the ppl who request drabbles from me! y’all rock!) and again I’m talking about ships that would be beneficial and romantic for Mika (even though i love to write messed up stuff for my precious angel it doesn’t mean I always want him to suffer ;A;) so what I’d really like to see is, as the story progresses, for some more characters to show up and interact with mika. because if we remember how mika used to be, the bright smiling boy that was an older brother for the kids of hyakuya, we can see that he is caring compassionate resilient and was quite the people person, he was hardened by what happened to them, but underneath that shell is surely a boy who could really use more friends once he learns to trust again. hell, i’m really hopeful that in the future mika and shinoa’s squad hit it off and that he and shinoa become really close (and not just for yuu’s sake) because i can really see myself going for mikanoa tbh (ughhh just no love triangles pls!) the beauty of shipping is that it can be any pairing you want, they don’t even have to talk to each other and you can ship it (tho before those were considered crack ships altho now i think the meaning to that term has changed but idk) but for me I love to have at least a little sense that, hey, maybe this could actually happen in canon without rearranging the stars and throwing in au’s after au’s but that’s just me 

so, after this long unasked for rant, I can only say that for now my second favorite pairing for mika is GurenxMika, i can’t tell you an exact reason why, they look very good together so it’s mostly superficial, but their brief interaction during the manga was very enjoyable to me and idk it’s a very unlikely ship but i like it 

i’d love to hear your thoughts on any other mika pairing if you want, and i’m sorry for such a long-ass answer :’D
