After 4 months headcanons: Mikayuu were snuggling when they were cold and Shinoa documented it, Yuu told the others how Mikan was just like Yoichi in the past and, the obvious, blood sucking during lunchtime hours! OOOH YEEEAAAH :D <333!

AAAHHHH YYEEEAAAAHHHHHH all of that A+ content I live for~~~~~~~~~ Just imagine!!! Shinoa, Mitsuba, and Kimizuki (that bastard) tease the shit out of them. (We, and the rest of the shippers, know that they snuggle for many more reasons other than because they’re cold *wink* but they’re trying to keep a low profile–it’s not working :P)

Yuu gushes over how cute Mika was when they were kids and Mika gets so embarrassed (after trying to pretend to not care, but oh my god Yuu-chan stop talking about me!!!!!) Everyone will try to imagine the stoic Mika acting like the little cinnamon roll but they can’t because he’s Mika, a vampire.

And there’s actually going to be a headcanon about the blood sucking so I’ll slip that in later~~~

Hi sorry about my lack of knowledge but could you explain to me what exactly the light novel is? I'm not really sure and I'd like to know. Thank!

celestial-citadel, you’re totally fine~ I didn’t know the OnS ones existed until a few months ago, and I haven’t been able to read them yet because I’ve been so busy, but I’ll try my best.

A light novel is a Japanese novel style that is similar to US novellas. They’re about 40,000-50,000 words and have some illustrations thrown in as well. Because they’re so small, they’re faster to write and thus easier to get to the public. They’re very popular among middle and high school students, but anyone is more than welcome to read them.

There are two light novel series that are being published along side OnS. The first one, Guren Ichinose: Catastrophe at Sixteen, is a prelude to the events of OnS. The main character is Guren (although some translations use the name Glen) and it details his life at a Sorcery Training School. It’s technically a stand alone series, but it’s canon in OnS and explains several references made in OnS. It’s running at about the same pace as the manga.

The second series, The Story of Vampire Michaela, is about Mika’s story and explains more about the origins of vampires. This series is currently being published and is quite new, the first volume being published on Dec. 4th in Japan.

I think I posted a link to the Guren series on a previous post, but I’ll update this post with more information once I find more out. (And if anyone else has more information, please add that as well~) I hope this helps~~

I looked around, and there hasn't been any confirmation of a third season on any official sites. The Twitter page has left some New Years messages that may have been misinterpreted for a confirmation but it really isn't. Other than that there's just been an official confirmation.

Oh, I remember seeing a twitter post with something like that. Now I’m not sure what to think ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I guess for now we’ll hope for a third season to fill in some gaps or expand the ending of season 2, but there’s no confirmation. Darn.

I guess we’ll have to get our feels from the game (could someone tell me more about it? I keep seeing some posts but nothing really informational.) and any mentions in light novels.

a third season was confirmed, just no date was released yet

Oh, it has? I must have missed that post! I’ve been busy with school and trying to keep my GPA up so I haven’t been on here as much (But I’m not abandoning the blog! Promise!)

(Sorry to the previous asker who mentioned a third season–it seems that there will be a new season. Still read the manga.)

Because we don't have any information about the third season, should I read the manga? I'm kinda hesitant, but also impatiant.

I’ll always recommend reading the manga! There are differences between both (and this usually applies to all manga-turned-anime series) so it’s interesting to find the differences and wonder why they did certain things a certain way. Plus, there’s usually more content/character development/plot development, etc. with the manga versus the anime. I’m caught up with both and, because the manga updates once a month, the anime has actually passed the manga plot wise (although very little. In the manga Yuu just picked up the trumpet and blew so the anime isn’t too far ahead.)

HOWEVER, thanks to recent manga spoils, we can inference that the manga will cover what happened during the 4 months of the timeskip in ep12, while I doubt that if we get a third season (which I don’t think will happen, sadly) the anime would touch upon it.

So, if you do decide to read the manga, the plot isn’t up-to-date, but I’d still read it to refresh the plot and get ready for the next few chapters. Each new chapter is published around the second Saturday of each month (I think. Someone correct me if I’m wrong) I hope you enjoy the manga!

Also, there is a group that is currently translating the light novels if you want to check those out as well. The LNs are about Guren’s generation and kinda sets up the basis for the events in the current ONS. It’s also currently being publish alongside the manga, but translations are coming! The ones I know of aren’t too far, but they’re started so let’s hope for the best~~ The master post can be found here, so go ahead and check it out as well if you want!
