MIKE GUYMON #FA-MG FIGHTER AUTOGRAPH
Mike Guymon from Peoria, IL. He is a key organizer in Kinetic Fire, Campfire and Flowshow Chicago. In addition to being a great organzier he has some pretty cool simple tech concepts and combos. Here he's goin off on some leg tracer stuff. I like how he takes a concept and builds on it.

For fans who could not be at the card live things started off at 4 pacific with a stream of the undercard on Facebook.com. All you needed to do is "like" the UFC fan page and click on the free prelims tab. For all intensive purposes the stream went off with out a problem. I did find some of the people in the chat log to be annoying but that is what you get when your in a chat room. I hope UFC dose more of this and further show their ability to move into web 2.0 space. Could Mike Thomas Brown be the first featherweight cut in the UFC? Brown has gone 1-3 in his last 4 and 0-2 since returning to the UFC. Brown hasn't really looked the same since he lost to Aldo. In his fight tonight he looked like he was simply head hunting and trying to find the one big shot. Yahya was able to use his superior grappling to force Brown on the defenseive and tire him out. If Brown doesn't win his next one he will be cut from the UFC. Johnson and Guymon was a must win fight for both men. Johnson used his superior grappling ability to quickly defeat Guymon who verbally tapped to a body triangle. Guymon is likely cut from the UFC since he is 1-3 since joining the company. Yves Edwards and Cody McKenzie finished off the Facebook stream. Edwards was just all around better easily able to pick McKenzie apart on the feet. McKenzie has some success in the second but not for long as Edwards was able to take his back and secure a RNC. The main card kicked off with a one sided ass kicking between Cole Miller and Matt Wiman. Miller never really got started for the entire 15 minutes of the bout. Wiman came into this fight ready to fight,he picked Miller apart on the feet easily winning a decision victory. One judge though gave 1 round to Miller which makes no sense what so ever. Pat Barry looked to rebound after his embarrassing loss to Cro Cop 7 months ago. Barry should of won easier is my initial thoughts. Beltran spent the first round shoving Barry against the fence working some dirty boxing. In the second and third rounds though Barry's leg kicks proved to be the difference maker, dropping Beltran with simple leg kicks. Beltran is in a rough spot he is 2-2 in the UFC he needs a win next time. He is a heavyweight though so he may get some lenience given how shallow the division is. Hominick swiftly dismantled George Roop assuring himself a title fight against Jose Aldo at UFC 129 in Toronto. Hominick walked Roop down and methodically picked his shots and dropped Roop several times before getting the TKO stoppage. Roop was clearly hurt since he stumbled badly when he stood back up. Matt Mitrione continued his winning ways taking on returning Tim Hague. Hague just didn't look like he was there. Mitrione easily out struck him on the feet en route to a swift TKO stoppage. Perhaps Hague will rematch Joey Beltran in a loser leaves UFC fight? Mitrione wants to be tested more so give him Jon Madsen a fellow TUF 10 alum, Madsens wrestling will be the biggest challenge Mitrione has faced. In the Main Event Melvin Guillard took out Evan Dunham in violent fashion. Speed kills in combat sports, mix Guillards hand speed with Dunhams slow starts and you get a Guillard TKO victory. The finish came after Guillard had Dunham up against the cage and landed a knee dropping him which was followed up by two more knees. The final knee looked to be illegal but that was not the straw that broke the camels back and hopefully will not take away from Guillards victory. Guillard continued to make the claim that he is the best 155 pounder in the UFC and wants a title shot by the end of 2011 or early 2012. The Lightweight division is packed with new challengers and is on hold once again till Frankie Edgar and Gray Maynard can have their rematch. This was a fun good UFC card. It's free fights so anyone who complains about it has not grounds to do so. This card also kicks off a smorgasbord of cards coming up till March 26 with UFC Fight Night 24 Ortiz Nogueira. Till than there is a MMA card from either UFC or Strikeforce just about every two weeks.
Just had Mike "The Joker" Guymon talk to me on facebook.
No big deal.
