I'm so so so unprepared for English tomorrow, but yolo, I've survived so far and I haven't turned in any empty papers yet

Something inside me wants to draw and write to make up for the mischaracterization and blatant racism in the bloodymary fandom

I may not be fully Asian, and even though my family is from the south of Asia, doesn't mean I don't feel hurt or frustrated when people treat this character as if he's dumb or incapable of being a complex, versitile and resilient person because of him being POC and having reasonable human reactions to being in a deadly situation. (When I mention his reactions, I mean people clutching onto and exaggerating the moments where he lashes out)

‼️I DO NOT MEAN THAT EVERYBODY EVER WHO LIKES BLOODYMARY ARE GUILTY OF CONTRIBUTING TO THESE TROPES, THIS IS MERELY BASED OFF OF VERY FEW PIECES THAT I'VE SEEN DURING MY TIME IN THIS FANDOM‼️THIS IS NOT A PERSONAL ATTACK ON ANYBODY, but if you do notice that you are indeed dumbing down Simon just for the sake of having him being dumb, maybe look into that‼️

There is so much that I could address but this would end up being the length of a thesis because this has so much nuance </3 Take this as me barely skimming the surface of the problems
