The character I first fell in love with- Oh god honestly I fell in love with Ron, Hermoine, and Harry basically simultaneously. As a kid, I was somewhere between the three of them (social habits, scholarly habits and hair/teeth of Hermoine, income level of Ron, and home life of Harry) so I sorta clutched my chest and died a bit at them. I wish I had gotten to read about them when I was a kid because I think it would have helped a lot, tbh.
The character I never expected to love as much as I do now- Probably uh... I didn’t really have a fuck-ton of knowledge when I went into this fandom so it’s hard to say. Probably Sirius Black, since I thought he was just like...a villan? I don’t remember, to be quite honest. I didn’t know much about him but then he turned out to be a chill dude (as in a nice guy, not as in actually chill. Because the dude was a drama queen, let’s be real.)
The character everyone else loves that I don’t- Dumbledore. I know y’all have love for Dumbledore and I respect that. I respect he did some good shit and some morally grey shit. But it still hella comes off to me as “yes, I recognize these people are unfit guardians but I shall put Harry Potter in their care anyway, so that the boy will cling even tighter to me upon his rescue” which...no. I will forever be protective of pre-wizard Harry Potter, who lived in a closet and was starved. Literally abused Harry Potter, who should have lived with people who loved him. I will fight each and every one of you who tries to justify his time with the Dursleys. Line up, I’ll fight you all. The character I love that everyone else hates- I don’t actually know if y’all hate her or not but Madame Trelawney? She reminds me of my aunt a little bit and honestly, when I get old I would love to look that kooky and eccentric. The character I used to love but don’t any longer- I don’t think this really applies to me in this case?The character I would totally smooch- Oh god um... Oh god... Uh... I can’t think of any of the adults in this series suddenly! As a child, though, I would have wanted to smooch Ron 100%. I was a sappy little thing. As for now, uh...Probably? Um? Madame Hooch. I like her spiky hair. Jesus, that was too hard to answer. The character I’d want to be like- If we could all be a little bit more like Hagrid, the world would be a better place. And by that, I mean we should all illegally keep dragons.The character I’d slap- Severus Snape, get your bony ass over here and accept your slap. You too, Umbridge. A pairing that I love- I honestly and with 100% certainty think that Ron/Hermoine is precious. Maybe it’s because my heart does the flippy thing over couples that bicker a lot? Maybe it’s because they get together? Maybe just because I think they’re both swell characters? Either way, Ron/Hermoine is precious. (Also Remus/Sirius, 60% because it’s cute 40% because of all the “are you fucking serious?” jokes)A pairing that I don’t - Keep your Tom Riddle/Hermoine away from me.
This got way too long but whatever, i apparently had feelings about a book series I never finished and a movie series I’ve only seen once.
