A kiss and tease

His toes curled into the soil beneath him as he felt the other elf appear behind him, body pressed to his, a breath teasing against his earlobe before he felt the warmth of his breath envelope the bottom of his ear. His own breath was sucked in through his nose as he turned his head ever so slightly, his vision setting onto the dark haired one known as Daeron.

His lips twisted into a smirk, this wicked tease of a man always knew how to sneak up on him, to catch him by surprise, to get his senses tingling from a mere touch.

“A simple hello could suffice.” Milaux said, turning to face him properly now.

“A simple hello is boring, the element of surprise is much more to my taste.” Daeron purred, a foot stepping forward to get closer to him, his mouth aiming once again for his earlobe.

Milaux couldn’t help but smile. Around others, it was he who was the tease, the mischievous and funny one, but once Daeron was within vision, that all changed, causing him to melt into the very puddles he could control with his magic.

As his eyes became heavy lidded, he simply let the moment happen, revelling in it.

❤ Have they ever been in love?

Taban will tell you of many lovers and many nights of lust, though he couldn’t possibly say if he loved any of them. A lot of his teen years were spent as an Antivan Crow, he knew he couldn’t get himself attached to anyone, whether it be a fellow Crow or target. 

Rhinnala on the other hand, fell for an Antivan Crow, only him to stab her in the back, quite literally.

💖 How do they say ‘I love you’ without really saying it?

Luana is a difficult person to read, but one thing she does that her younger sister, Velanna, noticed, is she’ll tuck a piece of hair behind the person’s ear. It’s affectionate, but also serves a purpose, not wanting her siblings to hide behind the hair they’re known for. 

When it’s for some more intimate, she’ll lean a head on their shoulder. 

Milaux is quite forward with his words and actions, so if he is not out right saying “I love you”, then he is hugging his partner from behind and whispering it into their ear before nipping an earlobe. Any form of touching is his form of “I love you.”

Lakkam, while he has a way with words, finds it difficult to express how he actually feels, more so when it’s an intimate fashion. His form of “I love you”, will come in gifts, using his wealth to his advantage. He’ll find what the other enjoys and seek it out for them.

💋 How old were they when they had their first kiss?

Velanna was around 15 when she had her first kiss, though it was nothing special. It was from a boy of another clan that was loyal to theirs, so they saw each other on a regular basis. She thought he was cute and would often spend time with him, until one day she more or less “dared” him to kiss her. He obliged, though she giggled through the entire thing, which caused him to laugh and get playfully angry at her.

[hair]

Length wise, his hair falls down to his shoulder blades and is quite thin, the smallest of breezes sending it into a mess, a light brunette in colour and he usually wears it in a variety of ways. Some days it is in a ponytail, others, a braid, other days, left loose with a few braids that he has idly done throughout the day.

The rest of his body is lightly haired, more so around his crotch and rear.

Pale blue in colour, his lashes quite long. People often say he is always smiling with his eyes, they are kind and welcoming, a little heavy lidded, looking almost tired.

His hands are quite large, mostly due to his fingers being long and a little bony. They tend to always be quite cold due to him favouring water magic, he often likes to be near streams and lakes, the touch of water soothing to him. He’ll try to warm them up if ever comes across new people.

[build]

He’s quite tall, standing at around 5′11. Some might say he’s lanky when you first lay eyes on him in his clothing, but due to travelling constantly, his limbs are decently toned, his arms muscled thanks to lifting heavier objects, his thighs much the same.

Milaux’s vallaslin is that of Ghilan'nain, and true to the Goddess, he does indeed love doting on the halla that his clan keep, in fact his brother and sister often tell him to go and do so to keep him out of their hair for a few hours.

35. What’s their guilty pleasure? What is their totally unguilty pleasure?

A pleasure that he does indulge in and feels very guilty about is blood magic. While he is not harming anyone but himself, and given the fact he is currently in Ferelden, he knows it will be met with disdain, disapproval and a lot of questions, so he hides it.

An “unguilty” pleasure would be playing his flute. He often does it before sleeping, when it’s dark, which seems to help him relax.

47. How do they act in a formal occasion? What do they think of black tie wear? Do they enjoy fancy parties and love to chit chat or loathe the whole event?

Given who his family are, when it comes to formal social events, he acts the part, though that is not to say he particularly enjoys it all. He’s become quite good at putting on an act when it comes to these events and indulging in what the quests come for, whether it be to be complimented, or quietly gossiping about others.

22. What are their favourite insults to use? What do they insult people for? Or do they prefer to bitch behind someone’s back?

Taban is a playful individual, so he’s not likely to bitch behind someone’s back, he’s quite upfront about his feelings with people. With said playfulness, he’ll compare someone to that of the backside of a bronto, or tease them about their drink of choice, all while grinning.

46. Do they make a good first impression? Does their first impression reflect them accurately? How do they introduce themselves?

Taban’s first impressions are usually met with positivity. He’s friendly and charming, always making sure he learns the name of the person he is introducing himself to, though always introduces himself first. He’ll usually find something to compliment the person on, whether it be their appearance, perhaps their outfit or connections they might have.

49. What is their most valued object? Are they sentimental? Is there something they have to take everywhere with them?

Being someone who is often on the move, when it comes to possessions, he tries not to grow too attached to anything. The idea of losing things while moving or growing attached only to say goodbye bothers him, he’d much rather simply create memories with those he loves.

21. Do they have a temper? Are they patient? What are they like when they do lose their temper? 

Not at all. Milaux is a very calm and laid back person, always choosing to listen to a persons’ troubles rather than reacting to them. Even when he does lose his temper, he’s not particularly loud about it and it doesn’t last for very long. He’ll usually storm off to avoid contact with people and think to himself about the situation. 

Niaṁ very rarely gets angry. If she ever does get angry, which is…never, she huffs and gets tongue tied, not knowing how to vocalise what she is angry about.

23. Do they have a good memory? Short term or long term? Are they good with names? Or faces?

Niaṁ’s memory is fairly decent, remembering faces more than she does names, though she’s gained a habit of jotting people’s names down somewhere and something about their appearance to connect them.

49. What about voice? Pitch? Strength? Tempo and rhythm of speech? Pronunciation? Accent?

Milaux’s voice is quite quiet, his accent what you would typically hear around Ferelden. He tends to stay calm when speaking, even in dire situations, it’s his way of keeping others calm. (for a listen, I use the voice of the male Sylvari in Guild Wars 2 as his voice claim. #cheating#)

32. How does your character react to stress situations? Defensively? Aggressively? Evasively?

While Athenril is usually seen with an aloof disposition, it’s quite evident when he gets stressed. He becomes a little tongue tied and questions things more than usual, though it always in an aggressive manner, wanting to get out of said stressful situations, the faster the better. However, if he is confronted about something, then he is much more defensive, often going to walk away from the situation.

35. Do they always rationalize errors? How do they accept disasters and failures?

Lirima likes to believe that things happen for a reason, she believes they are trials for them to go through to make them a stronger people. Sickness, grief, death, are all tests to her. 

Isaura on the other hand, becomes frustrated. Not as much as her Qunari companions, but hot headed none the less. She’ll question it all, why did it happen? How could they have prevented it? What will they now do about it?

Milaux - Spindleweed, Lakkam - Elfroot, Mehera - Royale Sea Silk, Vikal - Blue Vitrol

Spindleweed :: Had your character ever been grievously wounded or ill before? What was their memory of that occasion?

Milaux once caught ague (malaria) while he was travelling with his clan. His memory of it all is not exactly a pleasant one, he remembers a lot of vomiting and hallucinations, though Milaux always likes to make light of any situation, so he often teases his sister about how it was her poor duty to tend to him and listen to his odd ramblings when he had an awful fever.

Elfroot :: What is a small, mundane thing that brings your character great comfort?

Lakkam finds a lot of comfort when his instructor/friend, Isilmesar, smiles. It’s not something he does often, so when he does, it makes Lakkam feel settled and that he’s getting Isilmesar to open up more. If not this, then simple body contact with him. Again, Isilmesar does not like physical contact, so even if they were sat around a fire and their knees were touching, Lakkam would feel relaxed and at ease.

Royale Sea Silk :: What are the three strongest, most honest, most flattering adjectives one can use to physically describe your character?

Striking. Sculpted. Powerful.

Blue Vitrol :: If your character has to impress a complete stranger, how will they go about doing it?

Vikal would likely go about using his knowledge to impress, though it would usually be something what people would see as trivial, like the effect of different kinds of herbs and what kinds of animals roam the parts they are in.

Lakkam - ♥ What sort of characteristics or quirks draw them to someone? Milaux - ♥ Do they have a ‘type’? Tylan - ♥ When they have a crush on someone, how do they let them know?

Lakkam enjoys seeing someone completely enveloped by a passion of theirs. This can go for anyone, whether it be someone he likes more romantically, or simply a friend or family member. When they’re to enthralled by something and they think no one else is around.

Milaux’s “type” is anyone who shares his kind of freedom. He likes people who have no care for rules and regulations, to be tied down by others words. Seeing someone stand for themselves and themselves only excites him.

Tylan can be quite forward with his feelings. If he sees a girl he likes, he will approach her and take a genuine interest, whether it be what she does for a living, or if she needs to talk about anything in particular. Basically, he tries to make it all about them until asked otherwise.

Azalea: Who does your character wish would take better care of themselves? 

Milaux has a sister, a healer and First to their clan, who often takes care of others before herself. It leaves Milaux with worry in his gut since she would sooner take care of someone else when injured, though he doesn’t often express his worry.

Marigold: Describe a time or reason your character felt jealousy. 

Tamlen is not one to often feel jealousy, so it would be difficult for him to answer this. He has envied others for their skills, however, which has made him want to better himself with his skills.

Bay leaf: What gives your character strength? 

Ellora’s strength comes from wanting to keep her family safe. She plays The Game purely to keep them alive, every action, every step, every word, carefully thought of and done so harm is not brought to them for the very same woman she works for.

Rosemary: What is something your character will always remember? 

Lakkam will always remember the time he cast his first spell without the guidance of others. He drew and cast glyph on the floor, which a handmaiden of his mothers stepped on, causing tea, trays and cups to fly everywhere, much to the dismay of his parents. He caught his sister giggling behind their backs.

Quince: One temptation your character has had. 

Dulari can be a little bit of a ladies man. Charming when he wants to be, so he has been tempted to seduce his travelling companion, Reiniria, despite knowing how it would pan out.
