ideally everyone should quarantine a new pokemon for at leeaaaast a month, but uh... trainers usually dont *do* that, exactly. eheh
.....but in their defense, not many places really teach that to regular ol joeys (though thinking on it, would a bright eyed new trainer really listen to this advice? probably not.)
its super important in closer quarters though, more dense population of intakes, more sensitive immune systems, conditions where outbreaks of wild pokemon disease or parasites could overwhelm an entire block of enclosures....
just, maybe consider it next time. at least a week. it helps screen them for medical problems they may not show around other pokemon as well.
