What do you like about comics?

Well not to get ENTIRELY mushy, but as a medium, comics are incredibly personal when it comes to a reading experience. There’s a beauty with sequential art that is unique to it, and there’s a certain amount of imagination and improvising for the absence of what isn’t in the medium for yourself that makes every person who reads the comic come away with a perspective and connection that really can’t be replicated by other mediums or even by someone else’s read. It’s just something that makes it as a medium very reliably engaging for me personally in a way that watching animation/television or reading books or listening to music doesn’t ever fully replicate. At least for me. But entire essays could be written about my difficulties with fixation and so on
