You're lying down on Miles' bed, illuminated phone in one hand and the other intertwined with your boyfriend's. You can kind of tell he's trying to tell you something, the way his eyes constantly shift to your gaze and back to his phone.

"What's up? You seem bothered." You yourself started to get quite bothered with the continuous glances.

Miles' attention immediately shifts to you. "Oh, yeah. I wanted to show you something."

Your interest peaks when he opens his phone and clears up his throat. "Ahem. Magandang... hapon.. po." (good afternoon, formally)

At once, your eyes light up and you break into the biggest smile he's ever seen— he is a little stunned at your oh-so-positive response.

"My gosh, where'd you learn that? That's amazing!"

"Um, I know a few more phrases, actually. I got this, uh, language app."

You beckon him to recite, ecstatic at his knowledge for your own language.

"Okay, um... ikaw ay maganda! (you are pretty, in a slightly stiff way) And uhh, asan po yung banyo?" (where is the bathroom?)

You let out a hearty laugh at the latter sentence, your heart fluttering at his endearing self.

"Hay, bat ang pogi mo talaga?" (why are you so handsome) You pull him into a hug, showering him with kisses. His ears turn a little red, but he plays it cool (or so he thinks) with a slightly awkward peck returned on the cheek.

Your heart swelled at the idea that Miles had put in so much effort towards appreciating your language and culture.

"Mahal ko kita, aking sinta." (love you, my darling)

Being Miles Morales' Relative and A Hero Headcanons

🕷You met Miles after you were finished defending the city, and his mom introduced you to him.

🕷Miles didn't know if he should freak out or keep cool when he found out he was related to a hero.

🕷You meet Miles to hang out in private because you know his dad isn't fond of heros.

🕷Miles' dad doesn't like you that much and tells you to stay away from his family, to Miles' dismay.

🕷Miles does wish his dad can see you the way he does.

🕷But you did prank his dad only one time and uh...yeah that went horribly, especially when Miles got scolded because he laughed when it happened.

🕷You like to bring him little things you found and he keeps all of them, but he has to hide them from his dad.

🕷You show Miles your powers or skills in back alleys and he comments on how cool they are. But then it draws someone's attention, causing the both of you to run away.

🕷You always tell Miles not to interfere with your hero work, but he does anyway when you're in trouble, only for you to end up rescuing him and scolding him on how he could've gotten really hurt.

🕷Luckily, the both of you didn't get caught.

🕷You tell Miles about your times with Peter Parker, and how the both of you were actually bestfriends before he died.

🕷You tease Miles on his crush on Gwen and how shy she makes him, only for him to tell you to cut it out before you end up embarrassing him.

🕷You would send him videos of you in the air falling from the sky only for him to text you nonstop, asking if you're still alive ('cause he's Miles).

🕷Since you're pretty skilled at reading people, Miles has a hard time hiding anything from you, but that may also be because he gets really awkward when he tries to lie.

🕷The two of you like to horse play, but Miles is the one to always tap out because you're either too rough or he's tired, and then you joke about how you just got started, only for him to say it's not fair since you have far more stamina than him (being a hero and all).

🕷Miles doesn't understand why you don't like his uncle, and gets frustrated when you wouldn't tell him why. The truth is, you actually already know his uncle is the Prowler, but you don't want to just crush his heart so you always became invasive when Miles would bring it up.

🕷When his uncle died, all you could do was comfort him, and you recluantaly admitted that you knew all along when he asked you did you already know about all of this.

🕷He understood why you didn't tell him, despite the fact that he didn't want to. He needed some time to himself, but he did manage to forgive you later on, but he wanted you to promise to him - no more secrets.

🕷You were amazed when Miles became Spiderman, and you were just so proud of him. You also told him Peter would be proud of him as well.

🕷You come to terms with his dad, and he apologizes on how he was wrong about you, hoping you can forgive him.

🕷Miles is just so overjoyed that he hugs you both at the same time.

🕷You and Miles definitely team up to defend the city but...

🕷You two argue over who becomes the side kick.

🕷He does laugh about you huffing when you see that he can do things that you can't.

🕷He does end up becoming way more stronger than you, and brags about how you can't overpower him anymore when you play rough.

🕷You and Miles are sometimes at a somewhat friendly competition with each other.

🕷Okay, but with all of that aside, you two actually make a badass team.

🕷But you still treat Miles like a baby since he is really young. At first, he took it lightly and told you that he has everything under control, but slowly become annoyed later on and told you to stop treating him like a kid.

🕷You do make sure he does do his homework as well, and will scold him if you catch him focusing on hero work instead.

🕷You always catch him if he tries to sneak off without you, and he's immediately dragged back into his room.

🕷Miles says you're a life safer when his parents were seconds away from finding out he was Spiderman - you hid everything just in time.

Miles headcanons

- Anti-Ishval propaganda started LONG before the civil war, since that’s how genocide in the real world works. Miles grew up with stereotypes and people assuming he was dangerous because of what he looked like.

- At school, Miles studied his ass off, became top of his class, and tried so hard to break every single stereotype and prove that he Wasn’t Like Them.

- When he joined the Amestrian military, long before the war, he had friends who called him a traitor because... you know... he’s helping their colonizers. Some other Ishvalans agreed with him that only way to get the Ishvalan people treated right was to show them that they could be good enough, too.

- He’s so guilty about this but there was always a part of him that wanted to prove his worth to the Amestrians more than he wanted to help his own people,,

- He’s supposed to say he fell outside the parameters for purging, but the truth is that every Ishvalan in the military (and there were very few of them) was asked to renounce their heritage, proclaim loyalty to the state, assimilate completely into Amestrian culture and erase themselves. The others refused. Miles didn’t. He can’t tell everyone how much he misses his traditions. How much he misses wearing Ishvalan clothing and prayer and holidays. He spent his whole life running from that part of his identity, and he can’t have it back.

Miles and Doc Ock Headcanon

Despite herself, Doc Ock is flattered that Miles is a fan of her lectures. He considers her cool, even if she nearly tried to kill him and Peter.

They have something called the Lecture Truce. If he’s doing schoolwork, she won’t attack him in costume. But she will demand to check his work before he hands it in. Miles would find it weird, except he wants to apply for advanced science programs and needs the letter of recommendation.
