John Castaneda chokes out Miles Johns in the 3rd!
Stop Backing Up Into the CAGE!
God. Breakout performance from Castaneda. Got everything he wanted over the last two rounds. He hurt Castaneda multiple times. Got him down off a knockdown in the 3rd and locked up an arm triangle.

Jean Matsumoto takes SD over Miles Johns.
Competitive fight. Close fight. Nice little bantamweight scrap. Johns is really a fighter from like 10 years ago. With the new meta of MMA being pace and aggression, he's very much a fighter willing to accept fighting off the back foot and countering with 1-2s and shots underneath the opponent's offense. Allowing space for a kicker like Matsumoto to operate. Johns tendency to duck down, whether for shots or for the overhand, did get him caught a couple of times too with knees or kicks. But his willingness to just stand in the pocket and trade did him favors against Matsumoto who himself isn't a super great combo puncher. But the judges favored Matsumoto's big kicks and forward pressure.
