Not For Long

It felt cliche almost, like you were back in high school all over again. Sneaking peaks at your crush when he's eating a few tables away. Wondering if he ever looks over at you thinking the same thing.

Lost in these thoughts, you missed the moment when you looked over at your friend and Minghao did in fact look across at you. His eyes lingered on you for a moment as his heart fluttered.

"Joshua"

Joshua looked up from his phone with a raised brow, "Yeah?"

"You're closer to Y/n than I am..."

He hesitated, looking around, wondering if anyone was gonna hear what he wanted to ask.

"Do you know if....if they have a boyfriend?"

Joshua watched Minghao with a growing smile as his band member shyly looked down at his food, embarrassed by his own question.

Joshua's smile turned into a grin as he leaned forward, "I knew you had a crush on Y/n!"

"Shh!" Minghao hushed him as he looked around worriedly, his eyes glancing at you briefly.

Joshua chuckled, "Sorry, sorry." He cleared his throat. "I don't think Y/n is dating anyone, but I can ask."

Minghao nodded with a soft breath. "Don't make it obvious why you're asking though!"

Joshua rose his hand up dismissively, "Okay, okay."

Minghao spared another look at you from across the room, just missing the moment before when you had been watching him.

Almost everyone else was gone as you were putting away all of your products after a video filming. Glancing up, you saw Joshua sneaking up behind you in the mirror.

"I see you." You commented just before Joshua got to you.

He frowned as he got caught before sitting in the chair beside you. He was eyeing you and you side-eyed him, "What do you want?"

"I just had a question."

"What question."

"Are you single?"

You paused in your actions as you looked over at him with a questioning gaze. He had a teasing smirk on his face and you knew he was up to something.

"You're not gonna try and set me up with someone are you?"

He shrugged, "Maybe, maybe not."

You rolled your eyes. "I am single, but that doesn't mean I am interested in dating."

He eyed you, "Even if it's Minghao who asked?"

You nearly choked on your saliva as you stared wide-eyed at Joshua, who was failing to repress a grin.

Just like he knew Minghao liked you, he knew you liked Minghao too. Something he had been waiting for the two of you to finally acknowledge.

"What?" You whispered in a distressed tone. "Minghao asked if I was single?"

Joshua nodded as he watched various emotions pass over your face.

Your heart was racing as you stared off into space. Minghao, THE Minghao asked about you? Asked if you were single? Why? Just curiosity, or was he interested? Then again, when was the last time you asked about someone's relationship when you weren't interested in them in some way?

Seeing a hand pass in front of your face, you came back to your senses.

"Earth to Y/n, hellooo"

You looked at Joshua and swallowed. "Why would he ask if I was single?"

Joshua rolled his eyes, "Why else would he ask?"

Seeing someone approaching, he smiled to himself as he audibly cleared his throat and began to stand up. He stretched nonchalantly as you watched him, still bewildered.

He smiled once more at you as he began to walk away, catching someone else's eye and speaking loud enough for both of you to hear.

"Y/n is single."

You spun around to see who he was talking to, seeing him pat a startled Minghao's shoulder as he walked past. Minghao met your eyes and saw the obvious flustered expression on your face.

After gaining control over himself again, a soft smile spread across his face as he began to walk towards you, a new determination filling him.

"Not single for long I hope."

I’d asked for a pirates of the Caribbean ship and lord of the Rings ship for male characters with prompt first realization if that’s okay?

I’m a 22 year old girl who is, I think the best words to describe me, adventurous and artistic, always lost in art, stories and her own thoughts. I come off as quiet and shy, not having the best social skills but as I come out of my shell more, I am just someone who likes to joke around and enjoy life. I do prefer to be alone but wouldn’t mind company, I always try to lend a ear and be there for others as I know what it’s like to feel like no one is there for you; always try to at least get someone to smile or their spirits lifted. I try to be supportive of myself or my loved ones, though I also won’t hesitate to put my foot down and stand up for myself. I love learning new things specifically locations to explore and stories to hear, I like wandering off on my own to explore the areas I’m in and enjoy learning about the history it has. My favorite places to explore are historic or nature areas- I always loved nature, especially the sea and forests. I love reading books, writing, and drawings, spending time with close friends or my pets- I even write about my days in a journal, really passion in my art and stories. Another hobby is I enjoy collecting things such as coins, acorns, trinkets. One thing I definitely want to learn is use a bow and sword tricks just for fun. My love language is basically just spending time with my spouse- talking, going for a small walk, cuddling or holding hands; just enjoying each other’s company, I love a partner who is quiet, passionate, and would just like to be in my company. I basically find being in each others’ presences comforting.

He wasn't sure when it happened exactly. A month ago, a few weeks ago, or today. But James always seemed to find himself heading to the same place in town again, just to see you.

The second he would see you in the distance, his heart would start hammering, and a smile would tug at his lips. He wouldn't walk faster, though his mind often told him too.

Today, as he made his way closer, h couldn't help but wonder. What was it about you that kept bringing him back. And why did he get so excited to see you? You were his friend, sure, but was that all?

Turning to look down the street, your eyes landed on James as he approached. Your own heart leapt in your chest as you saw him. Smiling widely you waved at him.

James hesitated in his step as you met his eyes. Your smile was so bright as you waved at him. He was still so far away, you didn't need to. But you did. Lifting his hand back in response as he smiled, he felt his heart jolt in his chest.

'Oh.'

The sudden realization hit him like a ton of bricks. It wasn't just one thing that made him keep coming back to see you. It was everything, it was all of you. And as to why he was so excited to see you, well.

That was what hit him the hardest. He had fallen for you. Slowly, or quickly he didn't know. But he felt it now, washing over him.

He wanted to keep seeing you every day, more often, all the time. He wanted to talk with you, laugh with you, hold you. He wanted to love you. That was what he was feeling, and he wanted to keep feeling it.

Aragorn looked over at you and felt a jolt of awe. The colors lit up your face in a beautiful light. Your eyes were reflecting the horizon, and the smile on your face made his heart flutter.

Staring at you, he knew he would rather see you every day than any of the sky's most beautiful sunsets. You were the sun to him, you were everything to him.

Having you with him on his journeys made him so happy. He regretted all those years he journeyed alone, now that he knew what it was like to be with you.

He felt like a fool that this was all hitting him now, that it took the colors of the setting sun to make him realize how much he loved you, how much he needed and wanted you.

Feeling Aragorn's eyes on you, you turned to look at him. Seeing the clear adoration in his eyes, you felt your cheeks burn hotter.

You smiled at him "What?"

A soft smile crossed his face as he reached up and gently caressed your cheek. "Just realizing how much you meant to me."

You smiled and leaned into his touch before taking a step closer to him. Wrapping his arm around you, he pulled you into his chest and pressed a kiss to your head.

Looking back out at the sunset, you both held each other until the sky went dark. Aragorn from that moment, never stopped appreciating how much you meant to him, and how much he loved you.

Prompt #29: 'People keep assuming you are a couple, this causes one of you to finally confess your feelings.'

Waste of Time

"How long have you two been dating?" "Such a cute couple!" "Would you like this for your boyfriend?" "You two look perfect together!"

It's been like this for years. People always assuming you and your best friend were actually a couple. Both of you are used to it by now, knowing when and if to correct people, or just let it be. When to joke about a situation, and share that knowing look.

But secretly, it hurt you, you hated it. Not the idea of dating Hongjoong, that you loved, that was your secret. You wanted to date him. You had feelings for him, that had been around for ages.

The first time someone mistook you for a couple, Hongjoong's swift and clear refusal of the fact hurt you a bit. The first time he went along with it and pretended he was your boyfriend, made your heart beat like crazy, though later on, it hurt again.

It became a joke, to you and others that knew of your real relationship. But even when you played along, you always felt like you were being punished.

"Would you two like to join our couples game night?"

Your looked up at the new friends you had been introduced too, realizing they had assumed you and Hongjoong were a couple, just like many others before them.

Was it because of the way you were always attached at the hip? The way you told jokes silently to one another? The secret looks you threw his way? Maybe the way he always sat so close to you?

The two of you really didn't do yourselves any favors in avoiding the common mistake.

Setting down your drink, you were about to correct them but Hongjoong spoke first. "Sure!"

You looked over at him swiftly and he caught your eyes and smiled, something sparkling in his eyes that made you wonder what he was up to.

Not wanting to make it awkward you just nodded along and went on with the night. But you couldn't help but wonder why this time he wanted to play along? Surely they would find out, and be weirded out that you were pretending? He knew that right?

When you and Hongjoong left, ready to go home for the night, you finally asked.

"Why did you agree to go to their couples game night?"

Hongjoong hummed, walking beside you, his arm brushing against yours. "Because I want to go."

"We could just have a different game night? Not for couples?"

He nodded, "True. But I want it to be for couples."

You eyed him with heightening confusion and he let out a soft chuckle. "I'm tired of always being seen as a couple and having to correct it."

Your heart clenched. "So just letting people believe it is the way around that?"

He noted the subtle confused hurt in your tone, how you thought he was insulted by being mistaken for your boyfriend.

Stopping he turned to face you, "I'm tired of being mistake for your boyfriend and it not being true."

Your breath hitched for a second as you tried to understand his words. "S-so you..."

Hongjoong smiled softly at you, "I want to be able to tell the truth when people ask if we are dating. And I want that truth to be that we are."

You swallowed nervously. "For...how long have you...wanted this?"

He tilted his head as he thought before grinning softly, "The entire time we've been friends."

Your eyes widened in surprise and he chuckled, though obviously nervous. "What? Is that really that surprising?"

"Wha- yes, Hongjoong it is! Beca- because...."

He questioning you with his gaze and you spoke with a soft tone.

"Because that's how long I wanted to be with you for real too. Because now I see how much time we wasted just being friends."

Hongjoong's own gaze widened at your confession, the realization that the two of you had felt the same for so long causing him to feel a wave of emotions.

He took in a sharp breath before suddenly reaching out. His hand cupped the back of your head as he pulled you towards him, his lips colliding with yours in a fervent and desperate kiss.

There was only a split second of confusion on your part before you returned the kiss. His hands messily entangled in your hair as you grabbed the collar of his jacket before wrapping your arms around his neck, leading him to wrap his other arm around you and pull you flush against him.

You aren't sure how much time passed before you were pulling away with soft panting breath. Your eyes caught as you both stared silently, before mutual smiles broke out on your faces.

He nudged your nose with his as he spoke, "Lets not waste any more time then, okay?"

Leonard watched you as you looked out at the mountainous view below you. The two of you were halfway through your vacation leave, and he had yet to do the one thing he planned. Propose.

Reaching into his jacket pocket, he felt the small box, beneath it, he could feel his heart hammering with excitement and anxiety.

Walking up to you, he stepped beside you, setting his hand gently on the base of your back.

You looked over at him with a smile "I can't get over how beautiful it is here."

He smiled as he looked out at the view. "I'm glad you like it."

"I love it. Thank you for bringing me here Leo."

Tugging you closer to him, he pressed a soft kiss to his head. "You know, I've got something that might make it better."

You looked up at him "What's that?"

He smiled softly at you before he pulled away. As you saw him reach into his jacket pocket, something in our chest clenched, but you refused to show it, afraid you might be wrong.

But as he pulled out a small box and slowly lowered down onto his knee, you couldn't contain the excitement. Your heart was hammering in your chest, your eyes wide with surprise, and your smile was wide.

"Leo!" You muttered out, your breath nearly hitching in your throat.

He smiled up at you as he opened the box, revealing a perfect ring. "I've been wanting to do this for weeks now. But I thought now would be the perfect time, so I waited." He took in a breath "I don't think I can even try to tell you all the ways you've made me happier, or how much I love you, I just know that I am willing to spend the rest of our lives showing you. I would be honored and very relieved, if you would marry me Y/n."

As tears started to brim in your eyes, you could barely find your voice as you slowly got down on your own knees. Your wrapped your arms around his neck as you nodded your head happily "Yes, Leonard, of course I will marry you."

Pulling you into a tight hug, he let out a sigh of relief and joy as happiness cascaded over the both of you.

for a ship I was hoping I could get one for Star Trek(either AOS or ENT) and Shadow and Bone(season two is giving me life)? I am very bi so I have no gender preference.

A little about me, I'm an introvert. I start very quiet and polite when I first meet people but as I get to know them I become more outgoing and I tend to make fun of people I'm friends with. basically if I don’t like a person i’ll never say something bad to their face but if I do like them i’ll lightly make fun of them all the time.

I'm a ballerina of many many years and I love to sew. I've made dresses and shirts and one pair of pants that was kind of wonky. I also love to study space. I've made my own star maps and one time I thrifted an old telescope, took it all apart and fixed it. I love tinkering and collecting trinkets. I'm studying ancient history/mythology which is a dream come true! I love to learn about how people of the past lived and what they believed in. and I love super heros, at any given moment I could rattle off the entire history of Batman and his sidekicks and his villains.

She loves when she finds you practicing dance, and will watch you with a fond smile on her face. Alina also finds your ability to make clothes and tinker with things fantastic, and she praises you for it a lot.

May I request a ship for Star Trek SNW and VOY? I'm biromantic, female 30 very slim but 5'8".

People are always amazed that I'm really strong and have defined muscles because I look very thin with sweaters on. My hair is dyed red and I have green eyes. I love working out (jogging, soccer, lifting, skiing) but also tend to overwork, both in my job and sports.

I work as a physics/chemistry teacher and try to leave no one behind, also to create a environment without any fear. I get frustrated when I feel I failed my students in something and probably take more responsibility than I should.

My hobbies include video games, guitar, drawing and learning languages (French, Japanese) and I am German. People describe me as being very observant, rational and reliable (boring I know) but I can also crack a joke and be chill.

I can be intimidating though if you don't know me. Especially my murder stare TM. I try to be open as much as I can and see any situation from someone elses pov, doesn't help with feeling good though. If my patience is waning I often feel guilty for being short with people.

I love wearing leather jackets, bracelets and hoodies. Coffee black and I see there is coffee in that nebula!

Chakotay will often remind you to rest and not over-work yourself. He will take you to the Holo-deck for fun dates or moments of stress-relief and relaxation.

He is also not one to underestimate you, and never allows others to see you as anything less than you are. And he will take the time (probably more time than necessary) to explain to others just how great you are and how there is so much more to you than meets the eye.
