Though I look horrible in orange, that polyester robe is a gift from my neighbour and it is the only thing that keeps me warm through Toronto winters. 2’nd day in #iceland🇮🇸 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Nature is too beautiful for words. At times it is as if we are on an alien planet. We drove to Akureyri and for miles there was nothing but hills, lakes, rivulets, falls, sheep and horses. It was a bit frightening at times. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ There were areas where I could see Vikings inhabiting the land. I almost felt I was in the past. Other than the road there were no other signs of civilization. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Everything is crazy expensive. As a tourist I have no idea if the Icelanders pay the same crazy prices or if they know of more affordable stores. 1€ for a banana! 3.5€ for a water-bottle! I’m still in the “starving artist” stage of my life. 😅 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “Tak” is how you say Thank You. My brain is on vacation. 👑 The painting is about 70% done 😅 What do you do when Life interferes with your plans? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I was planning to wake up early and get most of this painting done, before visiting my friend and her new baby. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Instead, though I woke up at 6am I could not get up until 10am (I still have side effects from the eye surgery), and even when I woke up I could barely function. The only time I remember feeling so out of it was when I was on the heavy-duty pain medication after surgery. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I finally got moving when my sister calls in a panic begging me to buy a present, because she forgot. So, I went to OshKosh... You cannot put a Libra ♎️ into a cute store!!! OMG, I bought way too many things. 😱😫🤫 I’m thinking of saving some for my upcoming cousin. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I’m leaving in 1/2 h and I still need to do something about myself. My hair is hopeless. 😫 But I figured I’d at least say “Hi!” to Y’all.
