This 1998 CD box set, Tommy Boy Greatest Beats, has every great track you remember from that legendary label (and plenty not worth recalling), but the product design is what makes it special. By the late 90s, crate digging was a thing of the past, so this set in its mini-milk crate was part joke and part homage to the days of vinyl, but most of all, it was really cool.
