CHANGE?

I'm going to be changing things soon. I hope people won’t be too confused.

I’ve stuck with this name and mostly this icon since joining tumblr. I didn't really feel the need to change any of it at the time, but for whatever reason, now I want to.  Personally I feel like a completely different person who started this blog. Don’t get me wrong... It’s still going to be just me posting my completely self indulgent art junk - that's not going to change - 

This is just an FYI if anyone cares... I know I always get so confused every time people change their names! Sometimes I eventually figure it out, and then sometimes I don't.

Yeah… as if computers were everywhere (anywhere??) when I was growing up in Soviet Siberia. No mate. No.

Yeah, the post was very US-centric, too. 

Most people I knew growing up had the family computer and that was it. I know quite a few people still like that, because guess what, not everyone has money to go out and buy computers for everyone in the family, complete with a budget for good internet and video games. 

Like, we had our consoles, but there was the one family TV, and no way in hell were my parents gonna let us play video games all evening when they had their shows on.

I’d be willing to give them the “80′s kids are where we started to see the cultural shift in how we raise our kids” but no way in hell were all 80′s kids playing on their personal computers all day long. I’d say this shift really took root with people who were young kids in the 2000′s.
