Ordered food for breakfast and we got the whole wrong order via Postmates. Instead of asking a bunch of questions, they just automatically refund it as a balance on the account for another order. I’m actually okay with that.

So
I just learned that you cant get a mortage until you can prove that your rent only consumes a third of your income.
If typical rent is between $1200 on the lower end and $1700-$2000 per month on the higher end then how could anyone ever get a mortage in this day and age?
Like where in the next 5 years can I get a job where I dont throw my life, body, and soul away to earn $3600 to $6000 per month huh?
And older people who had help and were paided an adequate sum per cost of food in their economy complain about how the younger generation doesn't buy houses anymore, like you step into my shoes and try.
Me: Tells my mother we paid our bills so we're poor til next payday so I can't go shopping with her
Mother: "Don't tell me about being poor, join the group."
Me: Uhhh my generation is the group, we always have been.
Her: I've always been poor lol
🙃 Yes, please tell me that while you buy a smartphone outright with cash. Or pay for your almost monthly flights back and forth to Florida to renovate the new house you just bought there, or while you just told me how you're getting an estimate on replacing the roof in the house you're currently living in. So, so poor.
When ever I take the time to actually re-blog things off my dash I run into the issue of filling up tomorrows dash with rb’s off my own blog
“strong woman”
There are many men who want a woman with apocalypse-ready character and skillsets- capable of surviving deep in the wilderness, climbing sundry rocks, engaging in various strenuous beach/water activities, and also have sufficient earning power. In short, I think they want women capable of a defending against a siege though usually announced under the guise of appreciating “strong woman”.
Once upon a time I might’ve wished to be the endurance athlete that falling into Middle-earth would require me to be but some people are built more for court intrigues rather than for wilderness adventuring. Others neither, because we do not live in a fantasy novel.
I found my copy of Seanan McGuire’s Wicked Girls CD but I don’t have anything that can play CDs anymore: A Bizarrely Specific Problem That I Never Foresaw Happening
Currently working on a job application. “Good IT Skills, including record keeping and emails” is listed as one of the requirements. Responding with “I’m 23 years old, I literally do not remember a time when my parents didn’t have a computer and have used one semi-regularly from the age of 6 to 13 when I got my own laptop for note taking and work. I’ve used a PC pretty much ever since on a pretty much daily basis. I’m a digital fucking native, how the hell could I not have decent IT skills? Sure, I’m no programmer, but I’m willing to learn how to do that if needs be. Also this application is an online application, how the fuck do you think I’m filling it out if I don’t know what I’m doing when it comes to computers? I literally organise my entire life using my phone calendar, which is synced with my computer and tablet calendars. I’m autistic, dyslexic and dyspraxic. Hand writing is slow, sometimes painful for me, I have non-verbal episodes and you’re asking me if I have good IT skills. Technology and IT is probably the single biggest reason I can keep up a semblance of being a semi-functional, independent adult.
::absently wonders whether its pointless to try to find employment before the pending apocalypse on a daily basis::
