The sun shone with a brilliant golden hue in the sky, coating the thick woods below in its warmth. You sat under many winding branches that sported healthy collections of leaves, helping you stay cool. Little spots of sunlight peppered your dough in scattered, asymmetrical shapes. You leaned upon steady bark, right next to a spot bathed by the bright rays. The soft, vibrant grass there rustled softly, a noise you took comfort in. Green magic swirled around the spot, gathering in a bright concentrated ball of energy. You held an arm up to cover your eyes as the ball took shape, a Cookie manifesting himself from that very spot
Once the majestic light dissipated, you put your arm down. The Cookie awaiting you was as tall as a sturdy oak, with long icing going down his back and two curved horns on either side of his head that sported small vines curling at their bases. The moment his olive eyes opened, they searched for you, curiousity on the majestic Cookie's face. "Down here, Millennial Tree Cookie!" You called to him. His gaze finally met yours, a serene smile on his face. "Ah, there you are" He cooed, leaning down to better face you "How have you been, little Cookie?"
"The same as always" You shrugged "It's been a while since I was able to come out here. Sorry about that". "Don't be" Millennial Tree smiled, his face as calm as ever. He reached out a hand to you, letting you rest your face in his large palm. "Every moment I hear your voice grace these woods is a moment I cherish, little sprout" Millennial Tree added. He leaned his chin down so far it almost touched the forest floor, his hair pooling around him. You put a hand on his cheek and kissed the spot between his eyes, making him hum in contentment
New flowers bloomed around you as you settled yourself next to him, leaning on his arm for support. A bed of vibrant wildflowers circled where you sat, a gesture you chuckled at "You're happy to see me". "Very" Millennial Tree admitted. The birds chirped overhead, their shadows flickering across the ground as they passed. A few of them landed on Millennial Tree's horns, sweetly sharing their tune with him. You temporarily leaned away from the large Cookie, bringing over a small basket that you'd brought
"I was thinking of having a picnic," You said, standing and picking out the checkered blanket you brought. Millennial Tree watched with adoring fascination as you spread out the fabric, pulling out many small dishes and setting them across it. Although he couldn't eat any of it purely due to how small it was, the time together was immeasurably valuable to him. He gave a very gentle pet to a passing squirrel as you ate some pomegranate jam over toast, scooting as close as possible
Being as old as his name implies, Millennial Tree had seen many friends come and go over the years. Bright flowers wilting with the winter, birds migrating to warmer weather, simple changes that came every year. He'd become accustomed to it. Though he sat in one place, his roots reached far and wide, his presence felt throughout much of Earthbread. Because of that he wasn't sure if he could ever consider himself truly alone. But Cookies, he came to find, hurt the most to lose
So many smiling faces greeted him in his youth, back when he was but a growing young sapling. They shared their joy and sorrows with him. Sometimes they sought the deep forest for comfort, other times for solitude. But regardless, he treated them all with warm patience. Yet in the end, they had to leave. Their dough became too brittle to make the journey, their eyes glossy with age wearing down their vibrancy. Eventually, they'd stop coming. And a few short seasons later, new Cookies would find him for the very first time
Eternity was immeasurably long, but the weight of it was heavy with loss. Millennial Tree had seen the cycle so many times, had become comfortable with its certainty. He put it out of mind for now. There was no sense in dwelling on the future when you were before him now, looking at him with concern while chewing a hearty rye bun. The great tree leaned down to give you a very tender kiss atop your head "I'm alright, little one"
"Are you sure?" You asked, putting a hand on his arm "You spaced out for a while". "I am sure, yes" Millennial Tree nodded "I'd much rather spend the day with you than in my own head". You gave him a reassuring grin, pressing your forehead to his dough "You can tell me whatever you're thinking about. I promise my mind won't burst or anything" You joked. A soft chuckle came from Millennial Tree, as gentle as windchimes on a summer evening. Small vines came up from the ground, winding around your hand in a subconscious instinct to keep you close "I promise, my little sprout, it's nothing to worry over"
"If you're sure" You said, leaning your head back up. You ran your free hand over the vines gently, admiring the small flowers that bloomed across them. You looked up to the seer, face bright with remembering "Hey, I almost forgot! Some crazy stuff happened since I last visited, let me tell you about it-". Millennial Tree nestled comfortably on the forest floor, listening to your every word. Your stories gave him a warmth he couldn't find anywhere else, and the very sound of your voice chased his worries away. He nodded patiently every so often to show his interest
He didn't know what the future held, not outside of where his roots would reach. But in this moment, he only cared for listening to your tales. In his memories, this day, like many others spent with you, would forever last an eternity
The tree before you grew so tall that its shade seemed to stretch for miles. The bark grew strong and twisted around itself, while thick roots grew forth along the supple earth. A hand gently combed through your strands.
The tree itself hummed for you, speaking gently, “You seemed quite contented to simply be near me.” You nodded. It had been so long since you first awoke here, lost and confused and terribly weak. It had been the tree's gentle touch and voice which guided you to better health. Your memories were gone, but it was something you felt oddly accepting toward.
You had taken to living here, not worrying so much about the passage of time or the wary world beyond the trees' borders. A ruin became your home, and you tended to it all the same. The tree helped you find food. You were happy here. The forest's guardian even came forth at times to speak with you. His gentle breeze was comforting.
This almost felt as if it had always been your home. Millennial Tree certainly treated you as if it had been. You gazed up at him, watching the gentle sunlight play against his skin. A warm colour bloomed. He gazed down at you with soft olive eyes. His face drew near your own, and you rose up to touch your nose to his. A chuckle came from him. It was natural that you two shared affection. Somewhere along the lines, it was clear the two of you had simply grown fond of each other. Words were not needed. Your hearts knew.
“You are simply so adorable,” he shifted his legs, making you whine. All morning, you had laid your head in his lap. The sounds of forest were all you both needed. There was no greater contentment than this. His hand moved to brush away a few stray strands. “I am grateful that you chose to remain here with me,” his smile was so calming, “To have you near me as we are is such a precious thing.” His hand moved to stroke your cheek. You brought your own to hold it. Fingers interlocked.
Peace felt eternal as you remained here with him.
Wind Archer only sighed when he found you both napping in that very same position later.

Millennial Tree Cookie is taller than most Cookies, but he towers over you because of your short height.
He finds how small you are to be absolutely adorable and can't help but pet your head when given the chance.
Millennial Tree Cookie of course doesn't want to tease you for your height but sometimes its a little difficult to not point out when the difference between you is so glaringly obvious.
Holds his title of "tall boyfriend" with pride, and will rescue you without a moments notice to grab things off high shelves. But he's considerate, so he often keeps things where you can easily reach them.
Loves to pick you up and hold you, its so easy and he can't help but laugh a little when you pout about it.
You're the perfect size for him to cuddle and loves having you sit in his lap while you share a break.
No matter what he wears it is gigantic on you. In fact, you have Millennial Tree Cookie buy sweaters just so you can steal them off of him. He doesn't mind, he loves seeing you wearing his clothing and adores how big it is on you.
Millennial Tree Cookie is new to running, but tends to like taking it slow most of the time. Lucky for you he tends to stick to slower speeds when walking so you can keep up with his long-legged strides.
When you sit in his lap he likes to rest his chin on your head. He loves the warmth of your body against him and is always surprised how light you are.
Due to how tall he is, visiting you sometimes is a bit of a challenge. Ducking under doorways of your home, making sure his horns don't knock against the ceiling or door frames, and practically kneeling so that his head doesn't hit the ceiling. But its all worth it if he can spend time with you. <3

I just turned 18 yesterday, and though it’s been great, It’s a little overwhelming because I’m just so nervous about my future and i feel like I didn’t accomplish much in the past. Could we get words of wisdom?
Hey Anon! (late) Happy birthday! I can absolutely do that, I love writing platonic things. But also, as someone who's only a little older than you, I want to let you know from myself- person to person- that the way you're feeling is how a lot of people feel at that age, and you shouldn't worry. I was also quite nervous and scared when I turned 18, but the fact of the matter is, its not like people magically turn all that much wiser and mature and adult over night- they all feel just as overwhelmed and unsure as you do, and I think there's some comfort to be found in that.
Most people feel just as much like they haven't done enough yet, that time is going by too fast. But it really isn't. You're not even a fourth of the way through your life yet, you have SO much time, and very, VERY few people achieve anything all that 'major' with their lives until they're at least in their 30s- its OKAY not to have done much. You'll be okay. I promise. Be proud of yourself for having made it as far as you have so far, and just try your best to do what will make you happy in the future. What's that Welcome to Nightvale quote, again? "The past is gone, and cannot harm you anymore. And while the future is fast coming for you, it always flinches first and settles in as the gentle present." That. It'll be okay. Now onto your actually request, aha.
Millennial Tree Cookie & Reader [Drabble] - Passage of Time
Time is scary.
You had not thought about this much before, but now, it consumes your thoughts, each tick of the clock drowning your thoughts like sands from an unyielding hourglass. Time is scary. Uncaring, unrelenting.
You were so caught up in your thoughts you barely noticed that you had arrived at your destination until you nearly bumped into him.
"Ah- sorry!" you're quick to blurt out, looking up to meet the eyes of the person you came looking for. Millennial Tree, for his part, appears quite unbothered, offering you a gently smile.
"Hello, little one," came his voice, gentle but steady with ages of wisdom, "Worry not. You seem troubled enough as it is."
He sits himself gently upon the gnarled roots of a tree which twist and turn in and out of the ground, extending a hand in offering. You accept, taking his hand and settling next to him on the roots and leaning into him, head resting against his chest. He drapes one arm over your shoulder and keeps the other resting in his lap once you've settled.
"Do you wish to discuss it?"
You take a deep breath, hold it for a moment, and then exhale, shaking your head. Not yet.
Millennial Tree hums in thought, stroking your back. The touch is soft and warm, the exact kind of comfort you were hoping for when you sought him out. You lean into him a little more, and he wordlessly shifts to accommodate.
"Very well. I will be here when you do."
And he is.
It takes a bit. Some time to sort out the mess of your thoughts, to take this big, big feelings and mold them down until they're small enough to fit into words you could actually communicate. Eventually, though, you do.
"I'm not..." you start, clearing your throat, "I'm not little anymore. And I'm kind of... scared, by that. Its just that..."
You pause, turning to look up at him. Millennial Tree's expression is gentle as always, but you can tell his attention is fully on you. "Go on," he says softly, pulling you a breath closer in his embrace.
"Its just that I feel like I haven't really... done enough. I'm all grown up now, and I don't have anything to show for it, and I don't know what to do next and I..." the words get stuck in your throat behind the welling of emotions you had tried to level before you started speaking. "I don't know."
Millennial Tree is quiet for a bit, expression unreadable but soft, eyes examining you thoughtfully.
Then he laughs.
Just a little. A soft sound, like a windchime tickled by a gentle breeze.
"Oh, little one," he smiles, "Don't you know how much you still have left to grow?"
You don't have enough time to process how to feel about that before he turns to face you fully and pulls you into a hug, resting his chin atop your head.
"I am very proud of you and of how much you have grown, but you still have so much time ahead of you. You needn't have figured out what to do with all that time yet."
"But i just..." You hug him back, tight. He doesn't seem to mind. "What if I haven't done enough? What if I've already messed up and ruined everything?"
"You have not."
"But-"
"You have not," he cuts you off firm but kindly, "You have plenty of time to learn, and grow, and try again. Even your mistakes will guide you to make choices that will better your future."
You want to keep speaking, but just take another deep breath and release, curling into him further like if you just held on tight enough it'd be strong enough to snap these messy feelings clean in half and send them away.
"I've met many cookies who felt the same way at your age, you know."
"You have?"
You feel him nod. "I have. I've met many cookies older than you that worried about such things as well. Do you know what ended up happening with all of those cookies, though?"
He pauses for a response. You shake your head, face still buried into his shoulder.
"They kept going. They kept trying, and learning, and growing, even when things went wrong, even through their saddest moments, and eventually..." he pulls back, tenderly grabbing your chin and tilting your head up so you met his eyes, "It all worked out in the end."
"But how do I know it will work out for me?" You ask, leaning into his hand that now cupped your cheek.
"You do not," he answers, "You simply focus on ensuring your present is as good as it can be, until the future settles into present, and you find that future is still just as good."
"You make it sound so easy," you grumble, burying your head against his shoulder once more. He laughs.
"Perhaps I do. I've had much time to practice," his arms wrap around you once more, "Why don't you give it a try? What can you do to make right now better?"
You think about it.
You can hear a river flowing nearby. Birds chirping overhead, leaves rustling in the wind, distant animals footsteps as they graze. You can hear yourself breathing, and him. You can feel his breath against your back, his warm skin against your cheek where your head rests on his shoulder, and where his hands rest against your back, and when the wind blows, you feel his silky hair tickle your face. He smells like dirt and bark and petrichor, and each cool breeze that dances through the forest carries the smell of pollen and sap to you as well.
"I think," you start, "I think right now's good as is."
"Wonderful. That is wonderful," You feel him smile against you, "May it stay that way for years to come."

Sea Fairy Cookie
You accidentally encounter Sea Fairy Cookie in the middle of the beach at midnight, she was singing peacefully and you got inspired by her. You usually just see nobody but seeing her was a surprise. Drawing her is a bit challenging while you were humming to her soft humming, but that soon ends when she saw you on that faithful night and was curious about you.
But you do expect to apologize to her since you did draw her without her permission so a bit of a misunderstanding and tension goes first.
When you show her your talents as an artist she was amazed and once the both of you reconcile you two got along pretty well.
She genuinely waits for your arrival with the stuff so she can watch you use your talents. If your talent is an artist Sea Fairy Cookie will enjoy watching you draw and at the same time help you find a good light even if there is no electricity. If your talent is a singer then it's most likely she will sing along once she got used to your beat, she loved your voice even if its bad or not after all confidence increases when if got enough warmth to it!
It has somehow become her habit to see you, it must have been fate!
Frost Queen Cookie
You encounter her once you stumble to the raging blizzard, you passed out and by some miracle you were put to safety revealing that it was Frost Queen Cookie who happens to sense that you are nearby, it was a brief conversation before you realize that your stuff is in the snow.
Frost Queen Cookie decided to find your stuff for you much to your embarrassment, and when she does she talks to you about your drawings to which you explain why you always go there.
The view and her castle was artistically beautiful that you can't help visiting there to gather references, she can think that your crazy but your artistic drawings does help her for a reason so she doesn't kick you out but gave you a good living for a few days before she escorts you out of the blizzard when you want to go home. (The art in question was giving her a good sketch of her castle and when its drawn it makes her think that you draw a good map./j)
If you are a singer, it brings Frost Queen Cookie at ease. It does gets lonely in her castle and having a companion every once and a while can still grow her cold heart.
Black Pearl Cookie
You can help it, there are eyes watching you draw while you are alone at the seaside docks. When you do look Black Pearl Cookie chuckled and swim away making you think that you are gonna be her next victim.
Tho you are pretty much wrong, she saw you draw and does admire you as both an artist and singer. For some reason your talents helps her struggle but its leaning closer to the singers talent, after all Black Pearl Cookie goes insane when its just nothing but pure silence in her realm...
Tho she would love to capture you to herself when she got the opportunity.
After all she knew she cannot welcome a normal cookie who will just betray her, but the moment she notice that you are the type that won't betray her...

In her dreams she knows your talents, and yet she still remained in her usual spot but ever since you arrive at a safer location. All you can hear was nothing but falling stars, after all you see nothings new but its still noticed by Moonlight Cookie who was secretly hiding admiring your talents.
Out of everyone she was eager to see and meet you, Moonlight admires your talents when she saw your dream as a successful artist or singer but if its both she does enjoy it regardless and as a result she evenly bring it up to Stardust Cookie when she got a chance.
She often looks forward to seeing your visits and your talents, Moonlight Cookie does admire you for your creative imagery. But if you were burned out she can lend an ear and helps you out.
After all she feels so much joy when she is with you.
Storm Bringer Cookie
Your songs caught the attention of the mighty Storm Bringer Cookie when you were at a safe place, she was not amused but she does admit that your songs are catchy so she decided to stay at a safe distance.
But soon enough she go so used to your talents she kept you safe from the other enemies, plus as a bonus your talents is something that she is the best supporter off!
When you two finally meet, you were embarrassed but Storm Bringer Cooker encourage you to continue your talents as a whole. But when you made a small dedication to her, Storm Bringer would be surprise but she continues to encourage you to do more.
...Girl... You know damn well that got her embarrassed, no?
After all she enjoys both of your talents good or not, after all improvements increases overtime.
Wind Archer Cookie
In the middle of the safest part of a forest, your talents were heard from the forest of your voice, your talents of the artist causes the biscuit animals to appear and watch you draw them. Free references and more freedom, even tho it was what you wanted and yet you can't help but feel eyes.
Wind Archer Cookie at that time was resting under a giant tree when he was tired happens to stumble upon you and your talents. He will admit himself that it was a nice pleasant sound, but he does have to reassure you that he isn't here to embarrass you but rather compliment you.
What an honor!
But when he escorts you out of the forest so you can arrive home safely, the wind tells him that he will be looking forward to see you more than just once.
After all, he enjoys your talents as a whole, it increases his purpose to protect. That includes protecting you.
Fire Spirit Cookie
If you are a daring cookie who wants to go to the Dragons Valley and resist the intense heat then your in for a ride! While you are enjoying your time in the Dragons Valley, don't forget that there are SOME places that contains echos. As a result you accidentally summoned Fire Spirit Cookie who was wondering where was the sound coming from when he was trying to take a normal nap.
Of course misunderstandings goes first-wait a second, knowing Fire Spirit Cookie. He is gonna be a good sassy (and a little bit rude if you don't take his words seriously) cookie you have ever come across.
Tho he won't deny it but he does secretly admit that you really have a good talent he cannot possess. Artist or a Singer or both regardless if it's bad or good, he enjoys it! (After all the Dragons Valley can be boring from time to time) And when he is alone he will secretly make sure that your talents remain unforgotten which results to Fire Spirit Cookie having his fanboy moment before Pitaya Dragon Cookie yells at him to shut up.
Just be WELL prepared for Fire Spirit Cookie's constant flirting and yapping, if your patient enough you can tell what he was implying.
Plus, you REALLY cannot deny that he is good at giving you ideas for your talents.

One day Wind Archer Cookie decided to introduce you to Millennial Tree Cookie when he knew he can trust you. He doesn't understand why you need his help to find more references but he knew that Millennial Tree Cookie can help. Of course, Millennial Tree was happy to see you and Wind Archer Cookie take his leave as usual.
Calming as always it reassures you to no end, Millennial Tree Cookie was happy to see you enjoying your talents and loves to give you more encouragement. As he too enjoys your talents, he patiently watches you think of an idea but even if you were burned out, Millennial Tree would calmly hold your hand and guide you alot of places that you had never seen before.
You were so grateful for him so much you decided to use your talents to thank him, he felt honored but so happy for you.
