Calling Millinery Students
If you are interested in learning more about hatmaking, a conference offering important workshops opens its registration tomorrow. It is the Millinery Meet-Up held October 1-5, 2016 at the Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts, Gatlinburg, TN, offering one and two-day workshops. This is a rare opportunity, so if you have the time and money, take a look at the offerings. The fee is $700 and covers a 1-day class and a 2-day class, with classes limited to 12 students. Meals are included, plus a reception, but housing is extra.
The photos give you some idea of the talented people who will be teaching. The purple hat is of sinamay and by Eugenie van Oirschot and the grey hat is of horsehair by Lina Stein who is also one of the master teachers. Clearly, these people are good at what they do.
