Now you all are probably familiar with my laments about not fitting into any of the named generations. Well, those of us who were born between the late 70s and 1985 no longer have to be lumped in with Millennials or Gen Xers that we don't fit in with. We have a name!
I identify with this article so strongly, particularly the part about having a completely different childhood than that of a sibling just a few years my junior. I hope that this term for our age group gains more momentum.
Now, I know that I'm going to get a lot of "But stopmakingliberalslookbad, I was born in the late 80s/the 90s and I identify with this too!" I'm just going to come right out and stop you right there. Your experiences growing up were not the same as ours. It's a lot more than just "But we liked the same computer games! I had AOL too!" Sorry, folks. But perhaps somebody will coin a term for you late 80s/early 90s babies next (The Pokemon Generation perhaps?). I support the idea of these subgenerations.
