Like a year ago I read a one shot about Ian trying to get Mickey to quit smoking. So whenever Mickey would like pull out a cig or say he wanted one Ian would kiss him to distract him. It randomly popped up in my mind and I can’t find it so if you could help I would love that :)❤️.

After an unexpected development two years after the ending of season 3 changes Mickey’s life completely, he finds himself thrown. However, with time he is also on the way to the nearest approximation of “happy” that his life allows, while creating a new existence for himself. There is just one thing missing.

This outstanding fic by milominderbinder is a gem. It is long, very well written, extremely satisfying in terms of plot and language use and brings true character development to Mickey and Ian. We meet Mickey some time after the events of Season 3, so lonely, heartbroken and alone. But then one day everything changes with the arrival of a new (and frankly simply wonderful) character in Mickey’s life. The author does not take shortcuts with the story development but instead gives the characters the time they deserve and would have deserved already in canon to establish who they are as individuals and who they might want to be together.

He wants to kiss Magnus, but they’re both holding drinks and it would probably be awkward to angle their bodies like this, right?  He sort of wants to ask Magnus to marry him but they’ve only been dating three weeks so he’s pretty sure he’s not supposed to. Drinks are definitely the safest bet.

this week, we’re reccing fluffy alternate first meetings. Today’s fic is a short oneshot. If you like it, please consider leaving it some love in the form of kudos/comments!

Isak triple-texts his one night stand, Even, and the boy squad are in absolute despair. They try to coach him through the proper etiquette of texting a hookup, but at this point, Isak might be a lost cause; especially since he swears Even seemed just as keen as he is (despite the fact that it's been eleven hours with no text back).

Notes & Ramblings:

This is a fluffy, oneshot, alternate meeting where Isak has no game and his friends won’t let him live it down.

The boy squad are great here, alternately ribbing Isak but also being supportive and consoling when he realizes his mistakes. The banter and teasing between friends is nicely reminiscent of s3.

Isak’s infatuation with Even and his despair when he thinks he’s screwed things up are extremely believable and entertainingly melodramatic.

Though Even isn’t technically in this fic, his presence is still tangible through Isak’s besotted thoughts and memories, and he is well represented in his texts.

Favorite Lines:

“Man, I’m taking this off you for the rest of the night,” Jonas says, shaking his head and snagging Isak’s phone out of his fingertips before Isak has chance to protest. “You're not safe when you're sober, let alone drunk.”

Isak groans, takes a long drag of beer, and then thunks his head down onto the table. How has this gone so hideously, unexpectedly wrong? Less than twenty four hours ago Isak was in bliss, feeling like he was completely connected to someone he just fucked for the first time in his life.  Now Even probably thinks he's a serial killer and is never gonna message him back and Isak will have to live alone for the rest of his days, a lonely gay hermit who can't even have a phone in case he messes up everyone's chances at love.

“He was so nice,” he moans into the table. “And so pretty.”

Magnus reaches over and pats Isak on the back a few times in consolation.

“That's rough,” he says, voice gentle. “But at this point, I’d be surprised if you ever heard from him again.  You really screwed this one up, man.”

hey i read a fic a while back and forgot to bookmark it. it’s a band au and mickey, mandy and iggy are in a band and ian is a fan of mickey. i think it only had one chapter but it could’ve updated since i read it. thanks heaps
