Day Two: Hometown

      Malika’s upbringing was… less than normal, to say the least. Her “hometown” is a grand city called Hallin, the capital of the country Milova. Milova is known for exporting spices across the Southern Seas. It’s settled right under Nevivon, using the Strait of Seals to export goods throughout the major cities. It has a few districts and sectors. Malika was usually confined to her palace, living out her days in boring classes to rule a country.

ok so I had fever yesterday so I thought of these. For those who don’t know, Milova is a state//city mentioned in the Arcana (Halcyon Nights chapter) and I’m prolly taking over it.

Milova is a southern country, bordering at least one part to the Southern Sea, and one to Nevinon.‌

It is a Parliament Republic, has been for a century now. Before that for ages it was ruled by Grand Dukes of a certain lineage.

Milova thrives on exporting goods and trade. It policy encourages partnerships to nearby countries.

It has few specifically famous regions, known for their spices, wine and textile works.

Milovan language is gender neutral, and the society is shaped that way. Basically everyone is they/them when spoken to, but there are a few polite forms of addressing a person judging from their social standing.

The people who do trade usually speak more than one language, through getting a formal middle education is semi pricy endeavor. Basic education is free and offered to everyone.

Milovan parliament is called Véche, it comprises of all region representatives, regardless their wealth or class. The positions are held for a set amount of time. However some noble houses usually have them permanently pass from member to member.

Each region of Milova has a different national dress and floral pattern to come with it. Florals are somehow generic in their textile and embroidery, but the colors pretty much tell which part of the country a person is from.

Culture usually centered around big cities: Goryn, Yaga, Lucedov, Covatila, Maponia, Fruna, Svitzna and Zlatsk.

It's not a highly military country, and its army mostly comprises of contract hired soldiers. Officers however are usually produced and educated in higher social classes.

Milovan value tradition, dedication and wit.

Milovan holidays usually revolve around reaping season, spring solstice and New Year. New year is especially big.

Milova is polyconfessional, but most of the citizens are either atheist or agnostic. People believe in their own hard work, nature forces and sometimes in luck. Praying to obscure deities is not for everyone.

Paradox enough Milovan are very superstitious.
