This documentary was a huge inspiration for the group project. These two men are called the minimalists and they are traveling all over America to share their story about how they got rid of everything they don’t need. They think with everything if they need it: yes or no. In this documentary was also a man that lived in Airbnb’s and the only belongings he had were 51 pieces (included his socks, toothbrush and laptop). Most of these minimalists, are people that had a good job and a good salary. They realized that money and stuff didn’t make them happy, so they got rid of it.
Why are we buying so much materials now a days? Why don’t we recycle or upcycle old things into something new?
This documentary was the beginning of our urban hybrid and urban rejection concepts. Because of the categorizing, we were able to create a large umbrella under urbanization.
