Listen to Your Doctor 2-8 Mar

"And mimetic disease can spread in many ways," the doctor said. "If you had direct contact with her than you might be infected as well. You could have contaminated. If I just let you go free you could spread it to the rest of the force or worse the rest of the timestream. We can't let everyone in all of time and space forget everything they know. The time/space continuum would just collapse.” 

"Fine," the time cop relented. "But what about him?" He asked gesturing at me. "He'll have to be tested too."

"Have to be tested for what?" I asked, earning me a glare from the doctor. 

"Funny. Do we even know what he's in here for?" 

"No idea," the time cop said,  turning to Kink. 

"Hes a criminal," she replied. "Who did some bad things...in time. "

"He could be the one that infected her.”

"Or he could be innocent," I said. 

I thought the cop was going to smack, but to my surprise the doctor said, "He might be right. Depending on her level of corruption, he might be completely innocent. Which is why we need to test her, you, and him, then we can see who's infected." 

So he quarantined Kink, then tested the time cop and the me. After several minutes he'd declared, "You're clean both of you." 

"And her? " 

"Still not sure. Since she's showing symptoms and you're not, we're going to have to do a full workup. The two of you are showing no evidence of infection and your scans show you have no atemporal bioms within your system. You should be safe to leave, but she we want to keep around."

I didn't know what to do. They were separating us, but I didn't know what I could do to stop it and Kink seemed content tossed let it happen. Sure, she was. She wasn't the one about to be locked up. And once that happened what was I going to do? I had no clue.

Inhibition Levels 24 Feb-1 Mar

I wanted to yell at Kink. How could she let this man take me? But what could I say? I was supposed to be a prisoner. Even though she was ready to abandon me didn't me I was prepared to ruin our infiltration attempt. Lu and Tam were still out there after all.  "I just have one problem," Kink said. "Which is the way to medical?" 

The man frowned. "Are you kidding me?" 

"I want to say...the fourth floor?" 

"Floor?" He let an annoyed huff. "How much damage was done to you that you think we have floors?"

"I feel like that's a question I can't answer," Kink replied. 

The man took a deep breath in an annoyed huff. "Fine, I'll take you to medical too. You know I really don't get paid enough to handle all of this." 

"Ain't that the truth," Kink laughed.

So I stayed quiet as the Time Cop escorted us down to their medical facility. Not that I would have had the chance, Kink never shut up. The cop seemed relieved when we finally got to the place. "She's going to need a full mimetic download and maybe check her inhibition levels. She doesn't seem to know when to be quiet.” 

"Well that's rude! Maybe you should check his inhibition levels too because he clearly doesn't know when it's more polite not to speak. " 

"Politeness is unimportant. What matters is correcting what is wrong."

"Politeness is very important," Kink insisted. "If you can't give even the smallest courtesy to a comrade then how do you expect to handle the entirety of history. You don't successfully reshape all of existence with brute force. You need guile and subtlety. "

"As you can see," the time cop said to the doctors "she has been heavily damaged." 

"Better be careful," I said. "What if it's contagious? Being this close to her you might have caught it." 

"Don't be ridiculous. " 

"No, wait," the doctor said. "He has a point."

Wandering and Stumbling 17-23 Feb

I allowed Kink to lead me through the complex. What else could I do? Fighting with her would just draw attention and we couldn't afford that. Surprisingly her disguise seemed to be working. No one gave us a second thought. 

 "Do you know where we're going? " I whispered. 

"Not a clue," she replied. "You think I have the blueprints to this place memorized? We've never even gotten anyone into here before." 

"So we're just going to wander around here until we stumble onto something?"

"Frank," she replied,  shaking her head. "'Wander'? 'Stumble '? We're going to systematically check every entranceway and passageway and verify their connection to vital data points in this complex through a very coordinated methods."

"Uh-huh. And just how are you going to systematically coordinate our search?" 

"Shhhh, Frank. You're my prisoner. You don't want us to get caught, do you?" 

"Right, because wandering around blindly with a prisoner isn't going to..." 

"Shhhh. "

So I closed my mouth as Kink led me from one hallway to the next. We were certainly not wandering around or stumbling about. This was all very systematic.

"Trooper," came a voice from behind us. "Security has been monitoring your movements and you appear to be lost. Allow me to take that prisoner off your hands so that you can be taken to medical And they can fix whatever damage has been done to your mimetic programming."  

"That sounds like a wonderful idea," Kink said. I wish I could've been more surprised to hear Kink ready to turn me over so quickly. "I could use a re-up on my mimetic learning. This bad guy here really did a number on my mimetic recall. So watch out for him. He's a wild one."
