god hello hi. it's like. 1:30 am. i just finished reading "and if it stops snowing" and i am DISTRAUGHT. seolhee. is so precious that sweet baby girl oh my god. that story is truly so beautiful and tugged on every heart string i swear i was tearing up. absolutely beautiful work, thank you so much for sharing it 🥹 the raw emotions everyone is feeling, the comfort and pain and care, the wisdom. god. it's perfect.

i wanted to ask, what are the boys' like, official departments/positions? yunhos in general surgery, seonghwa is a pediatric nurse, wooyoung also a nurse, san a doctor like y/n, hongjoong in neurology, but im not sure of the others? and that could be me just missing where it was written, but i was curious, especially about mingi. does he have a role with psychology? because i could absolutely see that being the case given his calm and wise nature.

the boys' official medical positions at kq hospital during the main timeline of the story:

hongjoong (junior doctor) - neurology department

seonghwa (clinical nurse specialist) - paediatric intensive care unit

yunho (4th-year resident) - department of general surgery

yeosang (4th-year resident) - oncology department

san (4th-year resident) - paediatric department

mingi (registered nurse) - emergency department

wooyoung (registered nurse) - paediatric department

jongho (3rd-year resident) - cardiology department

most of their positions were pretty obvious, especially those involved with seolhee, but the others defs needed you to pick up on the few descriptions i embedded into the storyline 🤓☝️

yeosang - pretty subtle mention during the scene where y/n and him hide away in a storage room together during a night shift and then you walk back to your department "pleased that yeosang's oncology ward is not far from yours"

mingi - couple more mentions for this one but definitely not as spelt out as yeo's. first one is at the very beginning during the phone call with jongho about mingi dealing with the bauble couple and other ED stories. other hint was mingi being the one to tell y/n that seolhee had been readmitted into ED with sepsis when he gets home, which is because it actually happened during his shift. i defs agree though that he would make a great psychologist/psychiatrist and i actually put him in ED for the exact reason that he'd be able to remain calm (and rational) amongst all the chaos and stress

jongho - both mentions were right at the very beginning so it would've been easy to miss and they require you to connect the dots yourself LOL over the phone call at the start jongho talks about open-heart surgery and he eventually gets paged to attend to an abnormal ECG reading, which is all to do with cardiology

im shaking your firefly jar. hockey ateez is so GOOD. i swear at the beginning when yunho made that comment about not needing a soccer mom to coach their team i was about ready to punch him 😤 but good on the boys for pulling their heads out of their asses and realizing they were being jerks!! and y/n for learning to adapt and work with them!! we love good and healthy communication 🙂‍↕️

i also love the agenda of mingi being level headed and just so beautifully calm and intelligent without it affecting his cuteness and silliness. he sees both sides and rationalizes it and i absolutely adore him. (he is my shayla)

the two weeks they spend at the cabin and all the feelings there had me smiling so stupidly ans kicking my feet i love the nine of them so much 😭 and jongho baby everyone is so proud of you, you are so good 😭💜

the understanding and connection between wooyoung and y/n is so beautiful. the whole story is such a perfect enemies to friends to lovers and done in a way that feels so natural and right 😞🫶

coach cho is my mvp btw i love a good healthy dad figure 🫶

oooh yeahh it was fun to write the boys as pricks at the beginning but i had the comfort of knowing that they had their reasons ‼️‼️ AND YES EXACTLY they would later realise they were pricks but mc too and then we'd get ✨healthy communication✨

i think level headed rationality and calmness has just become one of my go-to headcanons for mingi now HAHAHA he's so goofy but at the same time he has such a comforting vibe 🥹🫶 (i need ten of him)

hehehe the lighthearted scenes are always such a refreshing thing to write because i spend so long writing the angsty parts i get sick of feeling emo 🤡 AND YES jongho needs to know that everybody is so proud of him in the fic AND IRL 👏🗣️📢

omg i could go on for hours about the arc between woo and mc that was my FAVOURITE to write about. the enemies to friends to lovers was definitely the most prominent for them bc their similar trauma made them butt heads straight on :'(( but that made the development in their relationship so much >>>> 🤌🤌🤌 and i'm so glad it felt natural aND LOUDDERRR COACH CHO MVP LOUDDERRRR we add him to the list of mvps along with seolhee and haneul 😍

hi it's me again and im about to put you in a jar like a firefly good LORD you write such beautiful stories. i just finished reading surfers ateez (at a much more reasonable time of 12:30am) and i am still distraught. the miscommunication, the love, the eventual healthy communication, god we love to see it. haneul is everything and i adore her 🙂‍↕️💜 that fic is so beautiful i swear it had my heart hurting with the angst 😭

all of the boys knowing y/n so well and loving her despite everything, and when they all just left her i was going to lose it istg 😭 perfectly tense and gut wrenching 😭 y/n going to seoul to talk everything out at haneul's suggestion was absolutely perfect, and them caring about her and wanting to keep her safe despite all of their hurt, betrayal, and anger. god. its so perfectly done it makes my heart so full. and the ending was perfect and beautiful, the happy ending i was praying for the closer i got to finishing reading 😭

oh YES writing that big argument scene HURTTT but they defs needed that fallout first to make things right (and esp for y/n to realise just what (read: who) exactly is important to her 😫) hehe i'm so glad the ending and the way they made up with one another was worth the hurt though <33
