Blue Bloods (Blue Bloods #1)
author: Melissa de la Cruz # pages: 302 #chapters: 44 start date: December 21 finish date: December 25 rating: 4/5 review: Oliver and Schuyler are my two favorite characters, also love the blooming relationship between Bliss and Dylan. Mimi and Jack I have my concerns about
Blue Bloods
Autobiography
Autobiography: Who is the protagonist you most relate to?
I can’t tell you how difficult answering this was - I’ve thought nonstop about this question since you asked yesterday, and woke up considering it, too! LOL
The funny thing is, I don’t even relate to my own protags from my first 3 novels because 1) she’s better/stronger than I am 2) she’s hotter than me BY FAR (her mother is a nymph, there’s no comparison) 3) part of her personality comes from having a body type very different from mine.
As for other literature, I remember being intimately connected to the rightful anger felt by the vampire Mimi in Melissa de la Cruz’s Bluebloods series. I felt the same way towards the Damphir (half-Vampire) Rose from favorite YA Urban Fantasy series Vampire Academy. And lastly, I took solace in Sookie Stackhouse from one of my favorite adult UF series, the Southern Vampire Series (True Blood). She wasn’t a vampire but she was married to one.
So apparently any chick who’s a pissed off vampire or caught up with vampires :D

I wish they would just bring Blue Bloods to life. 💙
Anyways here is an old Dream Cast.
2 of them are former Popular Vampires.
Mimi is Claire Holt who played Rebekah Mikaelson in The Vampire Diaries. She is Beautiful and Ruthless.
Bliss is Deborah Ann Woll she is the feisty Red head in True Bloods so I know she would have had that gorgeous southern accent down.
Last but not least our Schuyler would be Alexandra Daddario. She is gorgeous! Plus she would bring a lot in the name mythological knowledge to the table after playing Athena’s daughter in Percy Jackson.
For real though I need this.
favorite book pairings; mimi force & kingsley martin (blue bloods series)
She heard his voice loud and clear in her head. Leave him. Why should I? What do you promise me? Nothing. And everything. A life of danger and adventure. A chance to be yourself. Leave him. Come with me.
Omg! I accidentally got to this page, and I love it! I read all the books of this series, and Vampires of Manhattan. I was wondering, if you knew, because I wanted this to happen so badly, will Schuyler and Mimi ever become close friends? Like, these two have so many mutual friends, they both respected, the both can become queens now that Gabriella is gone, they both powerful, Jack can't live without either of them, they would make such an awesome team if they were to work together, so wduthink?
Hi!!! To be honest, I don’t think Schuyler and Mimi would ever be close friends. In a blog post from October 2011, Mel said:
Something i’ve always wanted to see is Sky and Mimi actually getting along. Will we ever see something like that in the books?Mel: That’s interesting, I think it’s why I like the Oliver/Mimi dynamic a lot, because it seems so improbable from the earlier books. I don’t think this will ever happen though, but we’ll see. Anything could happen in the finale.
The fact that we didn’t see something happen for them in the finale (or the sequel) makes me feel like it probably never will. They don’t really need to get along and be friends the way Oliver and Mimi did when they first discovered the Nephilim, and now that they’re living such different and separate lives I can’t really see them having a reason to work together. They have different priorities and motives: while Schuyler wants to live with her family removed from Blue Blood life, Mimi went from rebuilding Hell with Kingsley to acting as Regent again; while Schuyler and Jack reunited, Mimi is freed from her bond through his death and doesn’t need him in her life anymore (and vice versa). They might not hold the same animosity for each other as they did at the start of the series, but unless if something pushes them together I can’t imagine them seeking to build a relationship with each other.

Soo, I should probably mention that i started a rewrite of the blue bloods series by Melissa de la Cruz. Basically you get a more mature and modern version of Mimi's chapters. The first and second books are finished.
