Alternate Universe - Neighbours; Maria is an artist, Frank is an NYPD detective

Prompt by @kteague which resulted in a fic that is nothing like her prompt, sorry!

SUMMARY: Maria has had awful two days, her body being ravaged by cold. Her hot neighbour Frank shows up on the third night with a bowl of warm soup and something in Maria changes.

Excerpt: One of Maria’s favourite things about Frank was how flustered he’d get whenever she would be on her way out and ran into him and Frank would compliment her in the most innocent way, his gaze wandering to the side as he would tell her she looked pretty, rubbing the back of his head. To have Frank call her pretty was one of the highlights of her days.

It helped that he made her feel safe and protected with his presence alone, and whenever her eyes would meet his there was this inexplicable brightness and warmth arising in her, growing into something wonderful the more she looked at his features, the more she spent hearing his voice and got lost in the very essence of Frank Castle.

You can understand, then, why Maria found this man one of the rare ones she really liked and admired, why she enjoyed his company more than anyone else’s.

Hey, y’all! During the month of July I started a new concept of writing fics that's really fun and so exciting for me. I'm bringing it back in September!

The idea is this:

SEND A PIC, GET A FIC

Basically, you send me a photo and tell me which character/couple you want me to write about and I write a fic inspired by it, ranging from 500-2000 words.

If you want your prompt to be anonymous, just let me know and I won’t tag you 😊

So, I’ve got a lot of prompts to write (maybe taking prompts wasn’t a good idea idk) but don’t know which one to work on first so, if you want, you guys can help me choose. We’ve got:

Excerpt: It’s been an hour since Sam woke her out of her slumber at one a.m. looking the worst she has ever seen him. There are shadows under his eyes and his hair is more dishevelled than usual. That, and the fact that he’s only wearing a hoodie over his naked torso indicate he got dressed in a hurry with no regard to his appearance. 

Cleo invited him in, made him some coffee and sat beside him on the couch.

He hasn’t spoken a word and Cleo’s not sure what she’s supposed to do save for keeping her hand on his trembling one and murmuring words of assurance she’s not sure he even hears.
