Commissions? Sales?

I have been asked many times if I'll do commissions

An idea I have had, is rather than commissions as of yet. In the new year I may make some of the remaining team members to then sell. Then possibly after do commissions?? (The explanation is whenever I've had commissioned stuff in the past I stress myself out over it lmao)

The thing is custom nendolls aren't cheap once everything is added together 🤣 Just materials it's about £85 as an approximation just to me to make them.Each one I have made has varied somewhat depending on parts. (For someone like Renee it may be different as there is extra painting involved)

They would be put together and I would put them in the fox onesie (as it's just, perfect. Though if i do a Jeremy i'd do something else onesie wise.) and then the receiver can decide clothing from there. I love making them so if I can ill add in mini props ect.(Postage would be a seperate thing)

Is this something people would be interested in?

I plan to do some research over the holidays to make sure I have options for each of the remaining team members. Especially in regards to skin tones and the correct hair types I want to make sure I'm doing justice.

I would love to get opinions and thoughts, if this is something people would want at some point or if you don't think it's worth doing. I'm absolutely open to any and all thoughts. (And suggestions ofc!)

Who would people want most? The remaining foxes are: Aaron, Renee, Allison, Nicky,Dan and Matt. Otherwise I may do Jeremy or Katelyn

If its something people don't want or don't think is worth me doing I'm absolutely open for that opinion too!

I saw a doll I absolutely fell in love with which used this head and the body of another (which I have pre-ordered to come in April next year 🥹)

But I FELL IN LOVE with how it'd used this head and different customisation and I couldn't resist. I'm thinking of attempting to customise this one myself. Thinking of another little Ruggie 🥹 my all round biggest comfort character I want a bigger lil version

But yeah! Gotta get some more stuff but gonna try my hand at a full faceup!!

I don't know why, but I feel like you should but them in cups? I somehow deel like they're so cute and cup sized - i mean they are probably like langer than a normal cup, but there's big cups and Idk, maybe a big cup with some soft fabric would be kind of like a nest/den?

Have Kevin and Jean as testers. (Apologies for poor lighting, gets dark so early now)

The lil guys are bout 12cm tall (Kevin and Jean) and 11cm (Andrew and Neil) the difference in heights not being on purpose ngl 🤣 so if its a wider mug they fit well and cosy!! I may have to consider this for my AFTG shelf....👏👏 such a good idea thank you sm!! (Found this out as we compared them to Hello Kitty's measure of height in apples and the lil guys are like 1.2 apples)

I don't at the moment! I have had thoughts of doing it but it's quite daunting, got to do some (a lot) research first ahaha but atm I'm using coughbootlegcough hair pieces I find that have been painted by someone else.

I RLLY WISH I HAD A SOLID ANSWER FOR THIS BECAUSE IT REALLY DEPENDS!!

It depends because you can choose what type of body you like and then it's where to get it. I recommend looking into obitsus and their sizes as I use one of their types for my lil guys! As ngl I HATE the official nendoroid doll bodies. I have one and I switched it out for an obitsu body immediately but that's a rant in itself.

Then it's if you want to use the official gsc nendoroid heads it's finding one whether it be preorder/released/2nd hand to customise. The official nendo heads fit better than bootleg the bootlegs don't fit together as well but often come with putty to help them stick. My neil is official head but my other aftg nendolls are not so they are a lil bobbly on the heads 🤣🤣 (that and some of Kevin's hair spikes are a lil broken...😭 they aren't as solid) but you can find some really cool custom nendo faces!

I may be quite vague on what I recommend if only for the fact a lot of it is bootleg stuff and I don't like recommending that sort of thing esp when quality can be hit and miss too, and from my cosplay days I'm still in my head about recommending quality for others and would feel bad if something I recommended didn't work to expectations. I would prefer be able to recommend more official lanes of purchase but man its so hard to find things for not abysmal prices if you aren't looking at the right time.

Tldr: depends on the body type you like! I use obitsu. Official channels are best but difficult. Bootlegs are what I use but,,,,don't feel comfortable recommending properly as quality issues.

In general tho, admittedly idk. Its not an easy thing, so far I've been lucky with finding parts that fit my vision I've put together without having to resort to clay ect to mold hair and stuff or paint completely new colours on.

Some of my nendolls (assuming you mean my dolls as they are technically like bjd rather than standard nendoroids) are done using goodsmilecompany base parts like Neil, his head and hair is official. However jean is bootleg. And I'll be very open about using bootleg parts because finding what I need in what's available is near impossible. The downside is with those bootleg parts there may be scuffs/paint damage (luckily so far I've had none) but also the parts don't fit together completely seamless (Jean's hair has a slight gap at the side. Not noticeable unless you look tbh (and not at all on pics) and I have sticky putty in there to keep it secure.

But tldr: Maybe someday! Right now I have little to no experience in it other than my own put together ones, and I'd feel nervous about the fact they aren't cheap to put together and depending on parts it may not be perfect If you get what I mean! I'm not against the idea in the future! Even if I do eventually offer them what I can get my hands on is limited so there may not be great options for some characters.

I may have overexplained a little but I prefer share my thoughts. I'm doing a couple as Christmas presents for friends so it may give me a better idea!
