August caught up with Mia on the stairs easily; long legs, a blessing more than a curse. He knew she knew he was there, but he couldn’t say anything yet, he didn’t know what to say, what there was to say, what words he wanted to use. When he didn’t know what to say, he tried just catching her wrist in his hand, gently, clearing his throat.
