Hello!

I would like to start creating custom content. I'm thinking about converting CC from ts4 to ts2. I've found good tutorials for converting items from the game, but none specifically about converting custom clothes to The Sims 2. Do you have any tips on how to start, where to begin, or any tutorials that helped you?

hello! i personally learned from @skittlesplays' livestreams, so i'm very happy that @shibarulata has uploaded some of mine over at the simscord (join and grab the cc creator role!). but there's also a few more tutorials out there:

@vulrien-sims' 4t2 clothing tutorial - it's less detailed and quite outdated, but it was the first one i found early 2023 when i was learning ^-^

@platinumaspiration's 4t2 clothing series - very detailed and very useful series for new creators!

keep in mind that i use blender in my tutorials; i keep my use of milkshape (my abhorred) to the absolute minimum so i can't speak much on that 😅 but if you need any help, we simscordians are happy to do our best ^-^ welcome to cc creation!

Hello! I've seen the video of your sims having fun to a live playing band. Is this video edited in any way or your game just looks so stunning? That depth, vivid lights, deep shadows and blur. Just... WOW. If it's not editing how can I achieve this in my game?

It's "live" editing via the post-processing program ReShade, with presets that I've tweaked myself for a noise filter and color saturation.

The depth of field only works with an additional post-processing/shader mod in the Downloads folder. There's more than one available out there, but I use DreadPirate's.

It only shows the depth of field after I enter the cheat "boolprop enablepostprocessing true," so the depth of field is happening real-time in the game's shader engine. Otherwise it just displays my noise filter and color saturation, as those are from the ReShade program, which works more like an overlay.
