A random opinion

LoR and lobcorp are, at their core, stories about breaking circles. Circles of violence, circles of revenge, circles of inaction. It's about people who have been horribly hurt having to deal with the fallout. Angela fucking Ayin's plan at the end of lobcorp was based as hell, but it also perpetuated the city's "to each their shit nothing else matters" mindset. Only by breaking these cycles- by letting go of that petty revenge- can she be happy.

Raubahn finds out and regrets

This is a downtime before Praetorium fic where ultimately Raubahn has a normal chat with Deidre and ends up finding out she’s only 18 so that’s a yikes. Not that he isn’t used to trainees and fresh faced resistance members being that age but she has done A Bit More Than That for her age and she Doesn’t Seem Pleased With It.

Raubahn smells the stew on the breeze before he sees the cauldron. It reminds him of the hour. Nearly midnight, and the final attack yet to come. It is in these tense between moments that he sees the Eikon Slayer at the large copper pot, her robes traded for the more simple garb of a beige blouse and black calf length skirt. She holds an iron skillet in the folds of her apron with one hand, spatula in the other as she fries chunks of meat, in olive oil and garlic, before setting the skillet back in the coals. She hears him coming and turns quickly.

"It ain’t finished cookin' yet." The man steps back feeling scolded, though that wasn't even what he was really there for. She looks up at him, seeming to process who she spoke to, finally. “Oh! Gen’ral Aldynn!” She seemed to freeze, frowning not at him, but frowning all the same, before giving him an uncertain Twin Adders salute.
