“In your shadow...”
Wanted to sketch something this morning. Decided to draw the Origar Bois. Rolner (Mage of Mind) up front, Selmon (Bard of Mind) in the back.
Mage of Mind: One who Knows with Mind or Knows Mind
"Mages will uniquely experience their Aspect, both good and bad. As a result, they gain a unique understanding of what their Aspect is or does. Their challenge is to become open to new insight or different perspectives than their own.
A Mage of Mind might suffer from thoughts, rational decision and reason by being naturally surrounded by experiences which constantly require them to be rational. They might experience justice or the uncaring logical reasonable decisions of others or themselves and they might suffer from uncaring intellectual trickery lies and choices also. They themselves might suffer from the rational decisions and choices that they make. They might suffer from being intellectual or too smart for their own good, kind of like a know-it-all or a smartass. They might suffer from an intense apathy or uncaring unemotional nature. They suffer from their own personas that they create to hide their true inner self. Or they might just have the unique experience of doing all these things, whether it causes them to suffer from it or gain benefits from it.
They suffer from indifference, other people’s towards them or their own towards other things and people. They strike me as the kind of people who might be outcasts, disconnected from society, yet also not standing out and hiding in plain sight sort of thing. Every decision and choice they make might be scrutinized and argued over or devalued until they prove themselves and their mental prowess. From these experiences though they gain the experience of all kinds of logic and intellect. They might be exceptionally intelligent and great at trickery or deceit. They know all about apathy and indifference and how it affects things and people.
They likely know and understand human rational logic and reason, enough to predict what choices and decisions people make before they make them. They can easily know when someone is hiding something from them and can likely use or see through any kind of disguises that they want. They might even go as far as to know the thoughts of others as they think them, being a literal mind reader. They might also suffer from justice and morality, maybe having more than one run in with the law but then because of this they would know it inside and out and where the loopholes were." --Source of God tier Info Basically, I decided that Hal would best suit this tier. But knowing him, he'd probably alter it's appearance a tad? So here's what I feel my Hal would have. Enjoy.
Thief of Mind
1) Stealing aspect
The Thief of Mind could steal someone’s intelligence or thoughts and take them for themselves, increasing their intelligence and making the other person less intelligent. This wouldn’t really have much of an effect on targets who were already stupid though. They could also steal someone’s sanity (think of someone ‘losing their mind’), which could cause them to go insane and attack their allies and foes indiscriminately. The Thief would have to be careful with this ability though, as some powerful entities could be dangerous if they go mad.
2) Stealing control
While this could be in the last ability I thought I’d make it a spate thing. The Thief could steal someone’s mind in another way, by manipulating and controlling them for their own gain. While this does sound like more of a Witch’s power the Thief would probably be able to do this on a smaller scale (perhaps only one person at a time until the higher echelons of god tier) as long as it benefited them.
3) Stealing with aspect
With Mind’s domain being thoughts and ideas, the Thief would be excellent at planning raids and heists, making them the perfect Thief. They would be better at planning solo heist however, as the Thief does things for themselves and is probably quite a solitary class.
The Thief of Mind is a dangerous class that if misused can cause a lot of problems, however when used correctly, they can be excellent saboteurs.
Works well with: Seer of Space/Light, Rouge of Light
Works poorly with: Knight and Sylph of Mind, Seer of Heart
~Michael (sorry I've been so inactive I've got exams soon)
Prince of Mind
The way I see it, the Prince of Mind’s abilities are quite clear.
1) Memories
He could destroy the memories of others. This could be for their own good or for negative reasons: both work equally as well. By using this, he could do horrible things to people and then have them forget about it, or maybe get rid of the memories of horrible things that happened in the past. Similarly, he could remove people’s positive memories, leaving them with nothing but negativity.
2) Mind
He could, if the mood should take him, destroy people’s minds. This means, in the simplest terms, driving them insane. This is of course a bad thing to happen to a person, but this could be for the good or the bad of the team, depending on the Prince’s alignment and who he was affecting.
3) Conscience
He could destroy a person’s conscience, thus making them sociopathic and lack guilt. If a person had an over-active guilty conscience, and had to do something awful, this might be helpful. However for the most part, this would reflect negatively on that person’s performance and personality. It may drive them to kill easily which might help a person who had issues killing, for example, imps or unhelpful creatures. However it wouldn’t be selective so it would also lead them to not having issues with killing team members as well.
4) Thoughts
He could also make you forget what you were thinking in the short term, simply removing a thought from your mind which might not really be all that effective but could irritate you significantly. However he could remove ideas from your mind, maybe making you forget about wanting or needing to do something, for example. Kind of like the opposite of Inception
The Prince of Mind's abilities could seriously help or seriously hinder a team, depending on what he used his abilities for. He has the potential to destroy a person or make them a lot stronger.
Work well with: Sylph of Void, Thief of Heart
Work badly with: Rogue of Void, Sylph of Heart, Maid of Heart
