I think everyone should have infinite fries. like, a bucket. that appears in everyone's room. decanter of endless fries
Please get off my page if your a white woman, queer and\or disabled person who genuinely does not believe your whiteness gives you privilege. If you equate addressing racism and calling out the massive imbalance and the mistreatment of poc in communities as bigotry, harssment or "oppression olympics" i want you nowhere near my page. Please learn Intersectionality and stop acting like your marginalized identities absolve you of wrong doing, ability to perpetuate bigotry and your whiteness. Jesus christ. And yall wonder why we don't feel safe or comfortable in "progressive" spaces.
nothing will make me click off a recipe faster than "and the best part: only 250 calories!!!" ONLY 250???? I'M TRYING TO HAVE THE ENERGY TO LIVE. YOU NEED THOUSANDS OF CALORIES PER DAY FOR THE MOST PART. why would I ever in my life make a dinner that doesn't contain enough energy to sustain my whole Being Alive Deal. 600 at the absolute minimum or I close your stupid website
Made some homemade chicken tenders (with some store bought seasoned fries)!! X3
i wish mosquitos didn't make you itchy and give you horribly infectious diseases. i wouldn't begrudge them a humble nibble were it not so
Don't know why it just slapped me in the face but you know how people say "Well my feminist/gender theory framework says xyz, so you must be lying!!" when someone mentions their own lived experience which contradicts that?
You see it a lot with people saying "Masculinity is always rewarded" and people expected to be feminine saying "Well, no, actually, no it's not" and then they get hit with "Well MY theory says otherwise!!"
The thing that slapped me in the face is the word theory. Theory is, essentially, a term that means "This is what I think to be the case, based on the data I have available/observations I have made". Theories are meant to be tested, though. Theories are not infallible truths. Theories are just a step towards looking for either support or contradiction for your theory.
You can absolutely have the theory "Masculinity is always rewarded, regardless of gender", but when more and more data is collected that proves that, actually, masculinity is not always rewarded, and there are several hidden variables you have to keep in mind when collecting your data...
Well, then, in science, you would have to readjust your theory or throw it out entirely. You would have to keep testing it, and changing it, to fit what your findings actually show.
The issue with people saying "My feminist theory states that all masculinity is rewarded, so it is" is that this is just piss poor scientific/academic methodology. You are cherry-picking and purposefully skewing your data to fit your hypothesis, you are ignoring the data that contradicts your theory, you are, essentially, poisoning your data pool or purposefully altering it to affirm your theory in a way where it guarantees you will always be proven right.
In an academic setting, this would get you laughed out of the fucking room. In an academic setting, this type of behavior has gotten countless people laughed out of the room and blacklisted for flagrant tampering of results.
And I think it just goes to show that, once again, any flavor of radical feminism truly does rot the brain and prevent any actual critical thinking and intellectual conceptions to be made.
You cannot skip the step of checking your theory actually describes reality. It doesn't matter how perfectly constructed you think your logic is. It just doesn't make it true.
Being so attached to a specific framework that you start telling people they're mistaken about their own experiences is honestly wild
pls support trans girls and trans women who like traditionally masculine things
no seriously please reblog this ive seen so many posts saying to support trans boys and trans men who like traditionally feminine things and those posts are good!! i love them!!
but i have never in my life seen a post saying to support masculine trans girls and trans women or trans girls and trans women who like traditionally masculine things and its really important to understand that showing support for trans women in any form is just as important as showing support for trans men so please, please reblog this.
support trans women and trans girls. support trans women and trans girls who like traditionally masculine things. trans women and trans girls who like traditionally masculine things are not any less valid than trans women and trans girls who don’t!!
they should make deltarune merch that is a flowery body pillow except the pillow comes pre-installed with a voice box and it comes with separate instructions written by ralsei on how to surgically remove the voice box from your flowery body pillow
Honestly a big problem with this website is that some people seem entirely convinced you can develop a comprehensive, nuanced social theory purely through short tumblr posts.
And when it ends up vague, contradictory, and doesn't account for the complicated reality of our world, they attack the people pointing this out as bigots instead of engaging with social studies as a field in more depth.
The theory developed through these tumblr posts is treated as The Truth, instead of one possible, potentially flawed, analytic framework amongst many.
And I'm sorry but you can only go so far with a series of short tumblr posts. Even long essays cannot account for everything, and barely anyone on this site reads them when they're actually written anyway. There's one, maybe two books constantly referenced, but a very small percentage of the people involved in the overall discourse have actually read them anyway. Most people are working from a vague understanding through second or third hand retellings about those books.
You do need a book-length work to properly reach the depth and nuance a particular field is capable of. You need many books, in fact, from different perspectives, exploring different ideas, different frameworks, commenting and criticising each other, and you need to put the time and effort in, you need to read them, if you truly want to be knowledgeable and you want to understand. There's just not a way around this.

I think the core error is treating a statistical model as if it were deterministic. Sociology is just… never deterministic. It’s never “all [x] are [y]”, it’s messy data with lots of exceptions. In that context, the existence of counterexamples isn’t necessarily a problem for a theory—there are always exceptions—but expecting individuals to fall in line with theory is entirely illegitimate in the first place.
For instance “on average men are taller than women” is true, the existence of short men and tall women doesn’t disprove it, but “you are a man therefore you are tall” is nonsense.
(We could then ask if ‘masculinity is rewarded’ works statistically and the answer is still no ‘cause the set of people who ‘aren’t supposed to be masculine’ is half the fucking population and, while we’re at it, includes me. So basically people are taking a statistical theory that’s wrong to start with and then applying it deterministically.)
i think some people on this goddamn webbed site just see the word "man" and black out with rage

> “mannish features”
> look inside
> literally just common physical traits among women of colour
you can’t separate transmisogyny from racism. the radical feminism movement is so overwhelmingly white because their idea of what a woman is is so thoroughly steeped in white supremacy.
You can’t separate transmisogyny from racism. Very important to remember
the unimaginable power of saying "huh, guess that's not for me" and moving on with your life
If you cannot accept any criticism or differing opinion toward a media you like, you are not a safe fan to be around. If you take criticism of a media you like as a personal attack, you are not a safe fan to be around.
If you shame others for not blindly accepting a media you like, you are not a "real" fan.
If every "no" makes you overreact and get overly defensive, you are not a safe person to engage with.
