Not so smug now, Yugi-boy!
With text from landman Noyan Dar, Mindbreak Trap is a fantastic "counterspell" with a few aspects to it that make it worthwhile. First of all is its ability to cast for 0. In EDH it can be common for a player to cast three spells during a turn, its VERY common in Mizzix. Second, it exiles any number of target spells. You can exile the whole stack of spells. Lastly and most importantly, it exiles the spell. It does not counter, it exiles. This bypasses Last Word and Counterflux effortlessly. Mindbreak is a fantastic upgrade on Dissipate that's worth looking over.
