Telephone networks have failed, the internet is gone.  Modern communication seems to have come to an end.  What remains is radiowaves.  People with the right equipment have begun to communicate with anyone in range using CB radios, walkie talkies, whatever they can get their hands on.  Some are broadcasting, some are just listening.

As Mindee tuned the radio through the various channels, looking for news, Celeste was taking a moment to clean her fingernails. They both heard it as soon as they came to it, the last numbers in a set of coordinates.  As the static cleared, a familiar voice sounded, a voice they had not heard in two years --

This is Phoebe Cuckoo broadcasting for Celeste and Mindee Cuckoo. I know you may hate me for everything that happened before… I hate myself for it, but please. We need each other to get through this now. I know you’re alive, I can feel you. Come to Haven. The coordinates will play after this message. Stay safe sisters. Please, come to Haven. We are three in one. Solitude is getting old.

Celeste, Phoebe, and Mindee hadn't really told anyone, but they viewed Cyclops as a father figure, more or less. After Scott died, and after Emma ran off without them, all three sorta fell apart - thinking that no one cared about them, or loved them.
